Congrats Multimorphic team! Heist looks outstanding.
Everything on the P3 screen can interact with the ball, so there's plenty of "stuff" all over, including side targets on the lower 2/3 of the screen.
Thanks Gerry, I'm stoked to be the newest Heist owner! Working on cleaning up the unboxing vid and getting it on YouTube, and planning a proper gameplay stream on Monday (pending some stream gear arrival before then). Much more to come!
I've started using it more in the games since then -- it definitely takes a little bit to rewire your brain to think to use it. On the stream I was just so mentally wrapped up in the "new in box experience" that I was just flipping away without much thought.
I may dig in the settings and set it to activate with the lower flipper and see how that goes, but I've gotten better about going for the upper flipper skill shot, etc. And I like the side job modes that focus on that upper flipper as well (trying to trap it under the flipper, or shooting a specific scoop from it). I like when the game stages the ball using the rightmost scoop in the up position, too.
Leave the one-button upper flipper option out, I'll have that much more of an advantage the next time I host league in 2025
Quoted from Law:Stream was great kevinbuffalo! How're you liking it so far?
I've been staying up too late every night playing it It's got a great "one more game" pull.
To equate it the video game world I grew up with, Heist really feels like the "killer app" the P3 needed to sell systems. Like Mario and Sonic back in the day, you needed the A+++ title to move units, and Heist is that for the P3. Really checks all the boxes: Great art, callouts, sound, tons of great mechanical gameplay, shoots great, and solid rules with a lot to do. Plus it brings some awesome next-level innovation given the features of the P3 platform.
All that said, I am still in the honeymoon phase, but I think Heist has what it takes to be an all-time great.
I'm setting up for a gameplay stream on Monday night. Can't wait to show it off!
Quoted from luckymoey:Placed my order a couple days ago for Heist and Lexy. Fingers crossed that Multimorphic stays heathy and in full operation for their sake and selfishly mine. Thanks to Deadflip and Buffalo Pinball for the great streams (Heist and Lexy) that were key to winning me over. Also Stephen Silver who did a fantastic job selling the Company and explaining Heist rules.
Congrats! The unboxing was fun and Stephen was great on our podcast. Can't wait to get the stream going Monday night, here's a preview

Quoted from solarvalue:No!!!!! Translucent only please
I bet that’d look great too, but I’m digging the red
Quoted from Crile1:Did you happen to create a kit on the Titan website?
I didn't, but I can. Note that I stuck with superbands on the flippers since that's what the P3 ships with (and they feel good on this game IMO), but the rest are titans.
Ok Titan kits are up for the P3 and the Heist module:
P3: https://www.titanpinball.com/kits/index.php/view/id/1414
Heist module: https://www.titanpinball.com/kits/index.php/view/id/1415
Eric added all the games to the database, so anyone else with the games or the info can get kits in the system for those, too:
CCR: https://www.titanpinball.com/kits/index.php/browse/bygame/5749
Lexy: https://www.titanpinball.com/kits/index.php/browse/bygame/5723

In!
Here’s a mod I recommend: anti rattle tape for the glass.
The P3 has some serious punch in the sound department which can cause the glass to shake and make noise, disrupting the sound design of the games. I installed some anti-rattle tape this morning and it made a huge difference in sound quality, and I was able to kick the bass back up to factory defaults without any rattle at all.
I got my tape from Pinball Pro: https://pinballpro.net/shop/anti-rattle-tape-ar-1/
This isn’t something I’d really expect a manufacturer to provide (no other does AFAIK). Just offering up some tips to fellow P3 owners to make the experience even better
Quoted from Makakka:Where stream with lastest code?
I’ll be streaming it on Monday at 8 Eastern: http://www.twitch.tv/buffalopinball
Quoted from Shaker:Kevin;
If you haven't already: Could/would you stream an under-the-hood look at the P3?
The build quality. (metal back box parts, plywood bottom, general over engineering)
The track system for playfield maintenance.
Removing the flipper module for maintenance.
The built-in GI and VUKs.
That might help people understand that the initial cost is a great long term investment (in fun).

I did do a "playfield swap" video (this was a mid-stream highlight where I went from CCR to Lexy):
As for the other stuff, Multimorphic has a good playlist of videos showing all that off:
Gerry joined me at the start of the stream to talk through what's new in Heist (and a bit of what's to come), followed by a whole bunch of gameplay and my best game to date of ~14 million: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/699608759?t=00h05m34s
Quoted from tjw998:Which Heist character is your favorite and why?
I like the hacker because that is the one mode that I have the best shot at a Perfect Crime.
I always find it super satisfying to pull off the final scoop shot on Wheelman -- left ramp, hold flipper up to pass it over to the right, fire it into the scoop -- bam!
Quoted from lapean111:Look what showed up today! This beast is heavy!

I have Big Buck next to my P3 too. Approved!

Hey Kevin, do you recommend CCR or Lexy for my 2nd game?
Hmm tough question. I went with CCR as my second playfield for a couple reasons:
1. I hadn't played it since the inital release of the game so I wanted to check out everything that had been added since then, including CCR 2.0.
2. The online play was a big draw. It's fun to have an option for casual competition during the pandemic.
3. I had played Lexy a lot when I had the loaner P3 a few years ago, so getting the game I didn't have as much playtime on was more appealing.
4. I knew Ranger in the Ruins was in development and that uses the CCR playfield and I wanted to check that out.
That said, I do eventually plan to get Lexy as I like the game a lot and stuff like Secret Agent Showdown expands the appeal of that playfield too. It's more "traditional" than CCR, I think. It just really depends what you're looking for I suppose.
Sorry for not helping
I currently have the Cosmic Cart Racing playfield in mine but I played with the flipper power a bit yesterday after reading this. It defaulted to 24 so I bumped it up to 26, which was giving me airballs off the standups. I knocked it down one after that and I agree that 25 seems to be "just right."
Quoted from Rdoyle1978:kevinbuffalo Hey Kev, what lift cart did you use in the Heist unboxing video? gstellenberg how heavy IS this thing!?
I used a Harbor Freight lift cart. Highly recommended!
Quoted from Rdoyle1978:Thx for the link! Is this the one that needs to be modified? Looked like Kev just used the stock setup
You only need to mod it if you want to lift games by sliding it in between the front legs. I typically lift from the side or back so I haven’t modded it.
Taking another run at Heist tonight! 8 p.m. Eastern: http://www.twitch.tv/buffalopinball
Quoted from japespin:Watching the Buffalo Pinball Heist stream tonight. Wow Multimorphic. This is a home run.
P3 is officially on my radar as a possibility for the next purchase next year. I just wish venues were open so I can try it first!
Either way, Bravo. Those Cat Burglar and Wheelman modes look fun! And this has to be the easiest game to date to understand quickly while watching. This could be what non-pinball heads need to reel them into the hobby.
It’s super fun—and full of industry firsts!
Stream tonight! Let's try out the beta Twitch-Connect features on Heist, live at 8 p.m. Eastern: http://www.twitch.tv/buffalopinball
P3 (resized).pngQuoted from gstellenberg:Yep! ROCS 2.0.0.0 will work with Heist module driver 0.9.6.4 and let you blast asteroids with Ocean City in the background.

Sorry not sorry! We need more in the P3 club, and Heist is the game that people need to get in on.
It's P3 game night tonight! I'll be streaming the new Heist code update, plus the return of Rocs and B A R N Y A R D
Live at 8 Eastern: http://twitch.tv/buffalopinball
Hey all, just a heads up that I’m going to be streaming some Heist tonight as part of RetroGamingLiveTV’s “Coin-Op Classic” marathon. It’s a weekend-long stream of classic arcade games but we have a pinball block starting with Heist around 9:30 Eastern tonight. SmallTownPinball will be playing Baywatch after me, followed by Skipnatty playing Hobbit.
Come out and show some support for pinball and Multimorphic! You can tune in at http://www.twitch.tv/retrogaminglivetv
Full schedule is here: https://horaro.org/coc2020/schedule
Schedule got bumped back a bit with some tech issues earlier in the day, looking like pinball will start around 10:15 Eastern now. Keep an eye on the schedule site as they've been updating that. https://horaro.org/coc2020/schedule
EDIT: ...and back to 9:35
Quoted from gstellenberg:Nice job getting the jewel, Kevin!
Then cool to see you use the restore state feature to stage up an old a 5-character heist later in the stream.
Thanks for streaming!

Thanks! Was happy to pull off a perfect crime along the way, too!
Quoted from Rdoyle1978:Wow, that is an impressive response, Gerry. I’ll put some thought into it and try to give you constructive, actionable (or not..haha) details
I will say that simply sliding those outlane adjustments in a little bit can make a huge difference in drains on the sides. Give it a try!
Quoted from Rdoyle1978:Curious if there’s an update in the works - I’ve had a couple bugs an
Big Heist update on the way according to Gerry in the P3 owners thread https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/multimorphic-p3-club/page/12#post-6153341
The BFH is loaded up and ready to stream! Tonight at 8 p.m Eastern: http://www.twitch.tv/buffalopinball
bfh-stream (resized).pngQuoted from Jvspin:Thanks for streaming the latest Heist update Kevin! The game is looking really fun and I think the wizard mode was very well done.
I pictured a slower release of the 15 balls, like one at a time with enough time to make one flip before the next ball arrived. The 15 ball release is impressive but I don't thiink there is an opportunity to make a controlled shot.
Well it turns out there’s supposed to be a slower release, 1 ball at a time. If you watch it back you can see my diverter try to stop the additional balls and fail after a couple attempts. The screw has been slipping on that diverter servo and I thought I fixed it but I guess it slipped again. I’ll get it loctited up and give it another go.
Sorry that it’s the first impression you all got of the 15 ball! Even so, that BFH is so freakin cool. You really have to clutch out those side loop shots!
Quoted from RebelGuitars:How many of you have played the Big Heist and the 15-ball multiball?
*raises hand*
Quoted from northvibe:Also, who has made a save state with all characters in jail and used that save state as a mini game to play???
I have not but I'm going to have to do that now!
