Pinball 2000 was done in the pre-home collectors market and never adequately got off the ground. I think the Heighway approach is sound and is being done much better in terms of overall cabinet switch (P2K required new decals over the cabinet - so it was really more of an "upgradable" format for routes and arcades and not really "swappable" in the practical jump back and forth whenever you want sense. In any event, I can always count on pinsiders to find negative shit to bitch about in the most hyperbolic way possible - "I'm foreveeeeer screewed". Its super simple - want to swap out Heighway games regularly going forward while still remaining color coordinated? Get a base black LE or Chrome standard. Want LE features on the next pin? Get the upgrades for the standard play field. It looks really that simple. Honest. I am trying to understand the logistics of wanting to swap games but also wanting all the unique LE colored cabinets as well......and, I will just back away slowly from that one.....
