    Quoted from Stones:

I think its crap they did made him a replicant. I read somewhere they were trying to show replicants were full of humanity....and the humans were basically drones..

I'll always think of him as human, makes the film better. I think if Aliens does well then will we see Predator from Heighway at some point and I for one want it based on both films, like Aliens choose which film you want to play, the 2nd is loaded with greatness for a pin, thinking of the clips and call outs from those films, oh man.

Spinal Tap, Motorhead, Sabbath and Priest, but I would prefer more sci fi titles than music pins, Predator, Blade Runner, The Running Man, Total Recall etc.

    Quoted from xTheBlackKnightx:

For those pinball enthusiasts that believe I am advertly negative, Alien fanboys, or are not involved or have contacts in the industry, I will provide one simple direct final level of assistance regarding this subject.
    1) The Aliens license remains in final negotiations from 20th Century Fox and Fox Interactive. (From the standpoint of final production, not concept approval or the trademark license). I should have been more clear from than explanation beyond the initial legal agreement. This very recent, so if this has been worked out fantastic. Any further delays up to the point of production will result in lost sales. The reveal at Expo is the linkpin.
    2) Heighway underestimated their budget requirements for this title.
    3) Full throttle as a title sold initially mediocreally and has not improved. Being that it is no longer a "hot" title, does not allow this to be a rejuvenating factor for increased company profit.
    4) Market price testing is causing offsets regarding of machine construction regardless of manufacturer wilingess to maintain certain price levels. This is independent of Stern's home model marketing pattern. It is negatively influencing boutique manufacturers to build machines such as materials.
If you do not understand or believe me, ask Andrew yourself. If he is truthful and wants to talk to you, he will give you honesty.
Creating a pinball machine is an incredibly complicated and expensive process. This is on top of the factor there a various levels of non-defined levels of quality (not game design), just basic electronic regulations, which can even vary from country to country.
The comments list above are indications of an unhealthy organization, and something I would not invest my money, from the standpoint of speculation of others. I don't gamble in the pure sense of things like the stock market.
I am not trying to undercut Heighway, but there needs to be INCREDIBLE sales of Alien. Not only sales but delivery in a timely manner. A long delivery time is devastating to a company if construction cannot meet demand. All boutique pinball manufacturers even in the best of times can be tenuous in the fickle home market of today. JJP learned this lesson. Hopefully, all the others are better prepared.
I am entitled to present my informed opinion, but this is a forum full of trolls and the reason why most knowledgeable people left.
Arguments and fights are constant here.
People will always say "prove it" endlessly, regardless what you tell them.
    Counterarguments reveal nothing.
Mostly out of boredom, I would suppose. I am tired again of trying to explain things to people.
In this respect many are right, it is always the same thing here.
I would be extremely careful to invest time on thoughts on future titles of machines from any boutique pinball companies in this period of the market. This is exactly how people lose money. Not everything is a harvest of bounty.
Learn the lessons of the past regarding the coin operated world. There are reason why for example BLY/WMS/GTB/STN survived rougher times dependent on the period if history. If you want to understand or know more PM.

Well I only have one thing to say, why do you care? If its a gamble and a grown up person decides to take a shot then thats my business and its no different to me than betting on a sporting event or playing blackjack, also no one is forcing you to bet, I just don't understand where ur getting the passion to try and save us from a possible failure? If you have real inside info that theres a scam going on or something thats one thing but otherwise why speculate in a negative way? I'm curious to hear ur response sir.

    Quoted from Wickerman2:

this seems like the case. I hear much more about it now...I think once Alien is out and people get that they may grab the kit for Full Throttle since you'll basically get a "Premium" grade wide body for the price of a low end "Pro" to put it in Stern terms.

    Already a consideration of mine.

    Quoted from CrazyLevi:

If putting in your Grand Champion score to "We are the Champions" doesn't get a rise out of you nothing will.

Lots of other things would, in fact that song is really low on my list, please Andrew don't make a Queen pinball, Motorhead is a much better choice.

I would prefer the written works with high quality comic art style, but if it had to be based on video then 100% RDjr films, I really enjoyed them.

    Quoted from CrazyLevi:

You are allowed to like Motorhead as well as Queen.
Undeniable that Queen would have more appeal. As much as I like Motorhead (Inferno for the win) they are more popular with the general public as a t-shirt than as a band.

Oh I like Queen but like Rush I'm not interested in a pin with that theme and I would be OK with a Revenge of the Nerds pin with "we are the champions" playing during initial entering mode. Sacrifice is my favorite Motorhead offering by far, Motorhead has better art and imagery and yea music for pinball, JMO

I hope its Blade Runner because I have no time for South Park.

    #154 7 years ago

Predator lets get that going Andrew, I would need that in its own cab to be next to Aliens, I don't care what FFace Kulek did I was in on that and recovered most of my funds but it didn't deter me from wanting a Predator pin and Heighway would actually do it justice, like Aliens choose either film and lots of multi's with lighting to complement glo balls, oh no I just got excited in the pants department.

Harry Potter is winning the pole. What the hell is going on out there? With Blade Runner, Predator and James Bond Harry is is the current top pic.

    Quoted from Wickerman2:

HP would be a smash hit. It would bring in all age groups that have a passing interest in pinball. They can make Blade Runner later...awesome movie but nowhere near as prevalent in pop culture as HP.

I disagree, its not bringing in any new young pinheads, its good for you Dad's out there, the wife might let you buy it cause the kids dig Harry. Don't BullStein me

    Quoted from Wickerman2:

I'm missing the basis for your disagreement completely. I have 2 real live children and their friends as my anecdotal evidence.

I think you got it, tell me how many of these kids can afford a NIB pinball machine? Mmmmmm seems like someone might be allowed to buy a new 8K toys for the children ofcourse, its like that song "I believe the children are our future" just kidding, maybe arcades are coming back in states more so than Canada, I just don't see young people of today going out to play pinball, barcades sure but they are all older, if HPotter is a theme you guys like then I sincerely hope it gets made, I wish more of my desired themes would, Aliens is the first one in a long time.

    #183 7 years ago
    Quoted from Wickerman2:

.kids/parents in general know HP and would play it at the local pizza place a lot more than a (albeit cool) dark Blade Runner...

Forget the kids/parents, I want a Blade Runner pin.

    #185 7 years ago
    Quoted from Sticky:

Are original themes not cool any longer?

They are but when HP is winning over Predator as a pin theme I don't think its going to matter much.
