Good for them ! They have come a long way.

Funny how much designs change over time. The original playfield art didn't have any wheels for the motorcycles because there were going to be pop bumpers there. Apparently they were too obtrusive for the ramps

The pop-up bumpers/spinners are still there.

From the article linked in the OP: "A number of the final game's features were missing, including the pop-up bumpers"

no, this is still in production and the mechs are not in place, spinning bumpers like orbitor not pop bumpers.

    Yeah no kidding.

Does anyone think this has a better build quality than stern

    #10 7 years ago

This pin looks cool and I hope they get to full production.

The Outbreak pin has a great appearance also.

The thing I like about heighway pinball you can buy a kit and have multiple games and only use 1 cabinet when other games have released

    How can anyone tell yet?
Though Heighway Pinball is going quite fast, I think they're still in design-stage for some of the parts, so who can tell?
I really like what they're doing, I like the layout, the screen on the playfield, the theme, the 'switching playfield-thing' and all the other ideas, but I think they're (or have been) a bit overly optimistic in timeframe, just like JJP was. Producing games before summer would be quite an accomplishment if you ask me!
I'd find it quite an accomplishment if they manage to produce games somewhere this year, but I read they're planning on early summer if I'm not mistaken.

Well, whatever timeframe it'll be: I wish Heighway all the best.

Indeed, that's really cool for people with little space! (and less money, though I think a playfield alone and development/software-time can cost a substantial part of a pinball?)

Side art looks truely awful. Needs to be applied to all the cabinet, not just in the middle.

The translite looks like some wallpaper i had as a kid.

    Just my $0.02

Any news on Heighway Pinball? I really like the concept, hope they are making some progress.

    #21 7 years ago

Lol, that building and then the pinballs lined up evenly with the back drop of the electrical stuff. Could not look more German if they tried.

Bump for some news on Heighway pinball? Is there any news?

    #23 6 years ago

I guess if Heighway pinball hasn't responded this game is on the shelf? Too bad as it looked like exciting technology. I hope it is picked up again someday.

Just because the makers haven't responded to a thread on Pinside doesn't indicate anything. They probably don't even realize this thread exists.

Supposed to be 4 games at the UK Pinball Party in 2 weeks time. I guess that will answer any and all speculation.

    #26 6 years ago

Thanks! Thats great to hear that its progressing!

I didn't say that. I said we'll find out there. I am no longer anything to do with this company.
