    Quoted from Andy1:

Not the first time I've heard stuff like that, another story my pinball mechanic told me (don't want to believe it) they have used the same play field but turned it over, so everything is reversed on the playfield

that's what I told Gomez I thought TF was compared to LOTR. Pretty much the same damn field just flipped over.

Yeah, would save a lot of manufacturing time, but does it worry the Stern arm of followers

I wish they would have used the original 80's hairstyle on the translight.

The price on this is ridiculous.

    $7999? I'll take 100.

Nice, but it has nothing to do with this game. Did they sell any Stern Heavy Metals yet? Love to see some gameplay and what they decided on for graphics on the red dmd.

    Quoted from TreyBo69:

I bet it just means they didn't want to put a cap of the total number before they open sales. If the reception is lukewarm, they'll make 100. If it's a warm reception they'll make like 200.
They don't want to Munsters themselves where the demand is higher than anticipated and they have to increase the number of LEs after the original announcement.

    Quoted from RandyW:

I am excited for this to come out. I also think it is WAY overpriced. $8300 with a DMD??? So I will wait and buy one when I can pick it up as next to new for $3800.

You can buy a brand new Heavy Metal right now for 3800 if you dont mind a Star Wars artwork package...The pin has the exact same playfield layout. It's a clone in a cheaper cabinet with a tiny dmd.
    LoL.

I typed at someone from Incendium today.
Me: Out of curiosity, is the pinball machine selling well? I normally see playthroughs and videos, and I can't say that I've seen anything aside from the announcement video that showed some flashes of gameplay.

Them: They are selling well for sure, Reason you haven’t seen much more is we can’t get more players to Stern given the timing. It’s a little tougher with restrictions to get more done other than what we have with the in house team. 2020 Plans were to get more influencers playing on stream and so on, but we do have one stream planned for this month so stay tuned.

    #317 3 years ago

The reason they cant get more players is because no one wants to play the game. We have seen how a Star Wars home pin plays, just overlay it with Heavy Metal soundtrack and should be pretty close. Man I wish this was a cornerstone game with LCD and clips from the movie. I'd fly down to Stern HQ and stream it myself.

“Oh that pinball? It’s selling like shit. Can’t move em. Huge mistake and it’s all on us Stern made out like bandits. Thanks for asking”

I don’t know if it’s selling or if it isn’t but you can’t expect an honest answer out of them.

Definitely. Just relaying what the guy from Incendium was saying today.
Personally, I just want some of the art. I have toyed with the idea of grabbing a pf and rolling my own version.

Yeah, I was looking around for gameplay videos. Can't find any besides the trailers. Heard descent stuff about the layout on star wars. Guess this is one of those games you have to really love the theme, because they probably aren't going to refine the code very much if at all.
