#heat-wave has two moving targets, left and right. Hitting either of them advances the thermometer advance unit, scores points, and either spots A or B or resets A & B, depending on their state.

Sometimes when one of them is hit, something goes "click" but the thermometer does not advance.

The thermometer advances fine when the rollover buttons are hit, so I don't think it is the advance unit.

Because it intermittantly happens on either of the R or L target, I'm looking for a relay or switch they have in common that might be the problem. But, I don't see that on the schematic.

Can someone please set me straight on this?

It may be a few days before I can get back to the machine, but here is that part of the schematic.

Wire 23 ends up at Advance S.U. EOS SW.

I'm guessing they mean the EOS sw on the thermometer advance unit, but if the EOS sw is the issue, seems like the rollover buttons wouldn't advance the unit, either. They work fine.
