Took out the cpu board from my newly aquired Comet to replace a few bad transistors and noticed these heat marks. Anyone know what this is and if it indicates something more needs to be done while I have the board out of the machine?

Not an expert, but that looks pretty normal in my experience.

Thanks!

Looks like someone already replaced the resistors, I think the originals were giant conventional units, & recommended replacement is the sand type as on your board.
The Alien poker I rebuilt still had most of the originals still on it --- those that were not totally burnt off!

I have a Sorcerer board that needs those resistors replaced. Does anyone know the value?

Unless you have a dead one, you can leave them alone. They all look terrible in all pre-WPC games, and they (almost) all work fine.

The backlight effects column for the demon/dragon with the flashers is out. The heat from them is pretty bad too. Considering there are no replacement boards, I figure I'll do all Ivan to make it better.
