Williams, 1985Took out the cpu board from my newly aquired Comet to replace a few bad transistors and noticed these heat marks. Anyone know what this is and if it indicates something more needs to be done while I have the board out of the machine?
Looks like someone already replaced the resistors, I think the originals were giant conventional units, & recommended replacement is the sand type as on your board.
The Alien poker I rebuilt still had most of the originals still on it --- those that were not totally burnt off!

Unless you have a dead one, you can leave them alone. They all look terrible in all pre-WPC games, and they (almost) all work fine.
