Hearts and Spades
Gottlieb, 1969Off and on the flippers, pop bumpers and slingshots all go very weak. Also weakened is the mechanism that picks a random card when the ball goes in either kick out hole. At first I thought it might be the 25 amp fuse holder, but maybe not. I wonder if someone knows what else might be causing this. I do have schematics but am poor at interpreting them.

look at the JPG here https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/king-of-diamonds-start-up-sequence#post-3907359 --- toggle-off Your pin and unplug the main power cord (Safety reasons), locate in Your Hearts and Spades the mentioned Relays and switches --- clean the contact-points on the leaf blades on the switches - may look for "good closing when they are closed". Maybe this helps on Your problem. Greetings Rolf
Thanks for the info. Will try cleaning the switches . Game is at another house so it will be a few days.
For a switch to work 3 things are necessary
1) When open, there should be a small space between the contact points (duh)
2) When closing, the long blade's contact point should push the short blade's contact point enough to move the short blade
3) The contact points should be clean, which they usually will be if #2 is happening
