I saw the new series too…I thought it was pretty good. I’d still prefer the 80s cartoon for a pin theme though

MOTU pin is an instant take my money proposition.

    #53 2 years ago

    Instabuy if done correctly.

Theme-wise there are so many cool instant buys that never see the light of day. I don't understand why no companies have ever made a MOTU.

This has American Pinball all over it. Fingers Crossed.

I'd be in for a Snake Mountain Edition.

    #57 2 years ago

    Battlecat Edition!!! Please!!

    #58 2 years ago

I’ll go for an LE Eternia Edition

    First post on Pinside.
This would make such a great title.

Would love the Filmation sounds at game start.
Backdrop should be full eternia structure. Eternia itself lends to natural ramps - just check out pics like above.

A castle grayskull that can be hit much like medieval madness castle to lower the mouth drawbridge and get shots in there to unlock the power.

I would love a prince Adam target that after unlocked rotates below the table bringing up he-man. Hitting he-man targets to unlock power multiball.

Hear me out… motorized heman arm and power sword to point across the table to Cringer- with chase lights shooting across to change him to battle cat.

Yes, I’m a huge heman nerd, but hey, if you’re in your 40s, and love pinball, you’re probably with me

    So, let's talk Stern MOTU....

    #63 2 years ago

    Let’s!!!

I really do not care who makes it. Just make it! Stern being the latest rumor is fine by me.

Preferably OG toy box art or at least in the same style, OG Cartoon call outs and video, Snake Mountain, Castle Grayskull, Eternia all on playfield.

    #64 2 years ago

Please make it the Filmation / Mattel version. These new Netflix versions are pretty ok, and I won't comment on the Dolph, but this pin can only be based on one.

If Stern, this would be the LE I'd have to chase.

So is this the new Kaneda rumor for a future Stern release? Does this have any credibility to it?

With all the amazing box art the toys had, it would be a travesty to use Filmation artwork.

This rumor has gone flat. Hoping it is still on the horizon from Stern.

I just worry if they (Stern) do produce it, MOTU will get the TMNT treatment without the original cartoon/package art assets.

    #72 1 year ago

    LE = Eternia Edition
    Premium = Snake Mountain Edition
    Pro = Grayskull Edition

Kaneda has mentioned it a couple of times. One can only hope it gets made.

    #74 1 year ago

Hopefully he continues to mention it and speaks it into existence.

If they could use OG box art, or something similiar on cab/playfield and Cartoon on LCD I’d be stoked.

    #75 1 year ago

If they could pull off the Mattel toy box art for the art package, and have the Filmation cartoon art as the animations on the LCD(s), it could make for THEE most complete art package in recent memory, if not ever, and some of the most meta “toy in a box” theme integration to be seen in/on a pin!

It was a tough one to find, I looked forever and a few years ago finally got ahold of the artist Brian Carbaugh directly, and he had a couple left from the show where they were sold. He signed that one and mailed it to me. I think they only made 10 or 15 prints.

    #80 1 year ago

Growing up I used He-Man episodes as a measurement of time. On long car rides I'd ask my parents, "How many He-Mans until we get there?"

Big Eternia in the middle of playfield, snake Mountain upper playfield to the right, Grayskull upper playfield to the left. Would be dope.

Only if it has the music from the Filmation show. THE BEST.

Big time! Would love the “Filmation” xylophonish intro to the game too

Come to think of it, isn't Jack Danger working on his own unannounced game at Stern currently? If he was "what if'ing" MOTU 6 months ago.. uhhhh, I'm not saying this is it at all. But I would say that logically it COULD be on the table.

I'm waiting on a Godzilla Premium, no plans to change that at all. But if Stern and/or JD announced a MOTU game and we had zombieyeti on the artwork I might need to see a doctor to cool me off. I would almost instantly buy this, assuming the geometry looked solid and we had some more details on the rest of the design team.

edit. Also, not going to lie I think if you used Medievil Madness as a spirit for this game, the castle and played into that with some modern features that made it different that would be rad. Imagine a 2023 MOTU themed MM style game, castle with modern features and some different geometry. Oh my

It would be a major missed opportunity if for the end of game animation sequences they didn’t wrap the game up with one of the cheesy after school special feel good messages like they ended the cartoon with.
Or at least Prince Adam laughing at you!

DeadFlip i know you got this, but if you need any more ideas than you’ve already brainstormed, I got you

We need more choices for art than just zombie yeti.
    Use someone else for MOTU

The problem with using Medieval Madness as a template is that Grayskull shouldn't be a bash toy - the good guys are defending Grayskull, not attacking it. Snake Mountain should logically be the bash toy, although it's a lot less iconic than Grayskull. MOTU would need Grayskull on the playfield as a shot, but not the center focus of villain modes.

    #92 1 year ago

I could see Grayskull being used as a ramp / lock entrance, where you go in as Prince Adam and come out He-Man.

    #93 1 year ago
    Quoted from alexanr1:

    What about Voltron

Do you mean Panthor or Battlecat?

    #94 1 year ago

Yeah, lock your ball in Grayskull as Adam, and then (I HAVE THE POWWERRRRR) a different staged ball, like a powerball or glo ball would be released when you emerge as He Man!

Looks like the wire forms were designed years ago.

I've also read some "rumors" about a Foo Fighters pin in the works? Nothing is concrete from what I can tell but Jack has said on many recent live streams on Twitch things about "his game he is working". So he's working on something. I like Foo Fighters and that could be fun, but that doesn't strike me as a JD game or vibe. I could see Elwin working on Foo Fighters next.

If anyone was cooking a MOTU themed pin, I could see someone like JD or .. maybe even Gomez working on this. Its their style.

Maybe we can will it into creation lol

People must be crazy that want toy story pin nsteed of a Masters pin. I would pay alot for a masters pin if it isthw 80s version.

I think I'd be more happy if Stern made it anyway. 9k Stern Premium is much more appealing then a 12k JJP LE considering JJP doesn't pack their pins any longer, just look under the playfield on toy story, it looks like a Stern premium now. Just lifted my Hobbit and Wonka playfields today and they are heavy and packed. If Stern could make it as fun as Godzilla I'd be very happy.

    #100 1 year ago

I’m good with Stern making this. I wait patiently. If this never comes to fruition, Godzilla is my fall back.
