As it looks like this will be pin number 3 for Jack, wondering how many would pre-order? Movies are Dec 2012 and Dec 2013 so hopefully pin will be Dec 2013 or early 2014. Artwork, music, LCD movie clips should all be A1 so will be my first NIB.

Where are you getting it stated that it is number 3. I don't even think number 2 has been confirmed
Quoted from kwiKimart:Highly unlikely JJP will make a Hobbit pin. LOTR is good enough.
Well, number 2 is unlicensed for sure. The rumors are pretty strong that Jack has got the right to the Hobbit. He put a trailer on his twitter account and has not denied it on the WOZ group. With Keith doing the programming and 2 block buster movies this has all the ingredients for a superb pin.
I still wish JJP would get Harry Potter or Ghostbusters Hobbit is cool but we have a LotR theme already.
Quoted from dung:It is early speculation, but people love this kind of fodder. ACDC keeps coming up as the next stern yet it has never been confirmed.
Would I be in for one? Sure, it would probably be the only title I would be willing to buy NIB as I would want an LE.
Might not be confirmed but AC-DC will be out quite soon
Quoted from Silverballer:Not to be a Debbie Downer but the book was boring to read, the movie sucked as a kid and still sucks today. Just my opinion, sorry if I am offending anyone. If they decide to build it I wont be buying one. We already have LOTR. Merry Christmas All!
Have you seen the new trailer?
Quoted from northvibe:Have you seen the new trailer?
I admit I have not so I probably should of kept my opinion to myself. Just dont know if I will have 9 hours to devote to watching the movie.

hahha...well if you liked LOTR's movies, you'll like the hobbit movie coming out.
I didn't like LOTR because I don't actually like film score style music in pins at all. The exception here would be Tron because that's not your standard orchestral movie stuff - it has a beat, it's catchy. Iron Man wasn't bad too. Hobbit makes me think we'll be in orchestra land, and I really don't care for it.
Second pin being unlicensed though - that's VERY exciting.

I would definitely not buy one. I do not like these fantasy type books or movies, so unfortunately I have no interest in a pin themed on one of them. Now, Ghostbusters would be kick ass!
Quoted from guymontag451:No thanks. Let Nordman loose on that mystery second pin! That's what is really important here.
I agree 100%!
Yes I would love to buy one (would be great next to LOTR LE), but the reality is I probably wouldn't simply because I can't afford to keep buying $6500+ machines. I remember when $4000 was a lot to spend on pins--its getting to the point that almost seems cheap! I need to start setting my sights back down to realistic levels at $2000 - $3000 tops. After AC/DC of course...!
+1 for Ghostbusters. I still wish pinball makers would just make something original. Not every pin needs to be licensed.

Remember JJP's second pin is an unlicensed theme
I'd definitely be in on a Hobbit pin from JJP.
Then again, Nordman is my favorite designer, so I'm still excited about their second pin.
No Thanks,Not a fan and it will probably take me a couple yrs. to pay for the WOZ on my Visa card
Quoted from GoBlue:They need to make one pin first.
Don't know about Hobbit rumors, or if you guys have already treaded this ground...but in 29:07 or so of this film clip, JJ talks about the Hobbit license, and says he offered 200 a game for it and that's what Stern is going to have to compete against.
Quoted from TaylorVA:I might buy one if it proves to be a great pin but certainly not a pre-order.
I feel like this too, although I voted no
Judging from this movie clip, I'd say he went after the license because he knows it is one license that Stern actually wants. Getting it would be a coup for him. And a wake up call to Stern, I guess. But Stern could crank out more LOTRs at the same time, so IDK.
Love The Hobbit theme; but as optimistic as I am about JJP, I want to see what WOZ turns out like before I buy any JJP sight unseen. Also, I would be interested in seeing what unlicensed theme might be released as their second effort. As time progresses, I get more and more confident that JJP is going to produce remarkable pins.
