My experience with a JJP Mirco playfield was mediocre but it seems that nobody seems to get it right...
1. MMR by CGC - Chipping at large hidden castle hole in back after 60 plays. Chipping at outhole after 450 plays. Unexpected and disappointing. So that's CGC.
2. Dialed In by JJP - Major chipping at phone and SIM holes after 25 plays. Chipping at left outlane adjustable post after 200 plays. So there's Mirco.
3. TNA by Spooky - Chipping at several posts and the reactor scoop after 50 plays. Charlie said his playfields "are the best in the business". No.
4. Iron Maiden, Metallica, and TWD from Stern. My three NIB buys - These playfields range from 400 to 3000 plays and there is no chipping (or wear) of any kind. I know many people had issues with GB playfields so I'm not calling Stern the masters of pf painting. But my experience at least has shown that they seem to have a clue.
5. Williams playfields I've restored and cleared myself with PPG clear coat and a 2-3 month cure - Rock solid after thousands of plays. I'm talking barely even scratches. Light years ahead of whatever any major mfg is using.
That's been my pf experience with the various manufacturers.
