Hmmm, the JJP site is closed?! "New JJP site coming soon"?
Quite strange to shutdown the current site before bringing the new one online... technically it's just a matter of minutes to switch between 2 sites if the new one is ready, so meanwhile, why shut down the current one? Maybe it's linked to Expo, but strange anyway.

Oh good grief. The cat is out of the bag now. A Smaug edition of Hobbit? I'm glad I saved the picture locally first (and no, I won't share it to those now asking ... wait 10 hours, *smile) before they deleted the other thread. I guess Aurich really wasn't far off.

I would say it's just like WOZ was with the 75th edition. They'll likely be given the chance to switch to this "other" edition (and likely for a discounted price at that .. or even free.) At least they're announcing it now before they start shipping.

Well, I've gotta say, Alex...you know I'm a huge supporter of JJP. Some would lump me in the "fanboy" category, although I have had my criticisms in the past. But if this is true after me supporting the company by buying LE editions of both games, I'm going to be pretty pissed...and not sure I'm going to buy NIB from them anymore. It was one thing to release the 75th edition after the ECLEs sold out; lots of people were clamoring for them when they saw the pics from the Warner Brothers party. So I get that. But if they announce a special edition of the special edition before the game is even released, that'll be the last straw for me.
I'll be patient until the official announcement. But I already feel sick to my stomach.

Didn't Jack swear up and down a long time ago that he wouldn't do any other special editions again after the fiasco with the Ruby Red WOZ?
