Quoted from Grinder901:

Oh I've had my suspicions but now I've got the hard evidence I need.

Nice work Columbo. Another case busted wide open.

Quoted from LadySlingshot:

The offer stands. Raise $2,500 and Rocky is yours again.

This is amusing but it isn't much of an offer. This guy obviously is in no condition or position to pay back any kind if $1500 loan, interest free or not. He's obviously not looking for a loan.

If you really want to make your offer interesting it's gonna have to be no strings attached and a straight up donation.

Even I woul pony up some dough and I was horrified as anybody when I saw the original post.

So you willing to get this sucker across the finish line with a no strings attached $1500?

Come on lady slingshot - if that IS your real name: let's do this shit!!!

#144 7 years ago
Quoted from LadySlingshot:

Why is the offer more interesting if I just kiss the money goodbye? Steve is a grown man with means to earn money and I see no reason to treat him like some charity case. Do you?

He's ASKING us to give him charity (nice work slipping in some Gnr lyrics there!). That's a reason. He might be a grown man but he clearly doesn't have the means to earn money, that's the whole point.

He can't pay back a loan, so why offer him one? That's really a horrible, obnoxious thing to do.

Quoted from balboarules:

Rocky lost to Clubber Lang, and was going to pack it in, Apollo stepped in and talked him back in and he pulled it off (yes, fiction I know), but you guys with the positive statements and support are my Apollo... I am staying, and not closing the thread.

I'm pretty sure none of the rocky stuff happened in real life.

But hang in there champ!

Ok, I know it's the 4th and all but it has to be said:

What a travesty it is that medical problems will destroy your life like this in this country. In most civilized placed that simply doesn't happen. It's a national embarrassment.

#160 7 years ago
Quoted from iceman44:

This civilized country wastes so much money on handouts for people that aren't in "need" and that can actually help themselves that families like Balbo that actually need relief can't get it.
People shouldn't be forced onto Medicaid or have to file bankruptcy to get health care especially when family members are directly affected.
I'll still take our great country over any place else

Balboa would be much better off right now living in and being a citizen of any number of other countries.

I love living here too but that's an undeniable fact. The USA isn't the only good place to live.

Quoted from beelzeboob:

Two Levi upvotes in one day. That's a record.

I think the two of us need to get to get together with lady slingshat and have a real party!

#167 7 years ago
Quoted from beelzeboob:

I got together with "the lady" in Texas, which was followed by a rant on his podcast calling me an ugly mother**ker. So...um...no thanks.
(Besides...the dude needs to get his eyes checked. You know how many people tell me I look like Brad Pitt?)

Oh I'm quite sure you are hot as balls.

Quoted from Roostking:

OP is possibly not a protected minority?

It's nice that this post is bringing the latent racism and classism out of the usual suspects. I love that it takes so little to get people to go into this mode

I can only imagine what you would have to say if an inner city kid was asking for a gofundme so he could buy a smart phone.

Id direct him to the nearest Obamaphone dealer!

Actually Reagan phone!

His socialist administration started the program in the 1980s.

Hey it was a crazy time. Everybody was on blow.

I have a chance to get my Grill back!

Seriously...my brother in law borrowed it for a Redskins tailgate like two years ago. I'm paying him a visit.

"Buy me a therapy pinball!"

I like it!

Quoted from balboarules:

Boob, I went in and changed the goal, great idea, if all goes as planned I will change it again on Sun to 2400, I will almost be at 50%!!!
Sorry to see another downvote on the first page though, it was even at 0, someone decided to tip the scale back to -1. : (
!

You downvoted my grill post so you can kiss my ass!

It's a VERY special grill that saw many awesome tailgates at many terrible Redskins games. My dad and I bonded over that grill in a cold Fed Ex Field parking lot before terrible Redskins performances. The steak and ribs were always better than the game.

And now, I have a chance to get my Grill back and what do you do? Downvote me!!!!

Not cool bro. Not cool!

Still, this weekend, I might just get my grill back. I'm psyched.

#293 7 years ago

Are you guys gonna buy me a grill or what?

#295 7 years ago
Quoted from balboarules:

Levy, on everything I hold sacred that was supposed to be an upvote, I must have been really tired, that was NOT intention at all, so sorry for the mistake, I corrected it! I have never down voted you once!

Quoted from fxdwg:

hey buddy, have to tell you. I played the rocky pin at replayfx that is like the one you are trying to get back. have to be honest, wasn't a fan. but kind of figured I wouldn't be before I even started playing. Guess I am just a sucker for classic Steve Ritchie or new sterns in whole.
Wanted you to know I thought of you when I saw this machine. even told your story to my kids. glad you are halfway there, keep on keeping on my friend.

It's not a very good game.

But...I have a hunch the OP is REALLY into Rocky. Like..."I enjoyed Rocky V" into Rocky.
