I bought a haunted house and it was working fine when I played it at the sellers house. Took it home set it up and it won't boot a game. It comes on fine and all the lights and sound work but when I put a credit on and push the start button it makes that sound when the ball goes down the drain and won't start a game or do anything else? I'm totally lost on what is going on?

Double check all connectors on backbox and make sure no wires are pinched between cabinet and backbox.

Thanks I'll try that

So I checked every connection and they all appear to be secure. I looked all over the game top to bottom for anything loose. Still the same, coins up but just makes the sound when the ball goes the drain when you hit the start button and it takes away a credit as if you lost a game. Doesn't even attempt to boot up or start a game at all. Depressing

Is there a ball in the game? If so, can you activate the switch test to see if the game is detecting a ball in the outhole?

Yeah I checked the tilts. The kickers react on the playfield but it won't start a game or kick the ball out to the plunger lane

Check your fuses, all of them and there is a lot of them. 99% of the time it's just a connection, usually the driver board interconnect harness.
