I am doing the lower playfield upkicker fix on my Haunted House where you replace the relay with a pop bumper driver board as suggested in Clay's guides and the This Old Pinball videos. In the video, Clay's HH has a fuse on the upkicker coil but my game does not have this fuse. Should I add a fuse here or is it unnecessary after the PBDB modification. Yes, I think the later runs of Haunted House had the fuse installed and my HH is likely an early run. There was a service bulletin to add a fuse to early run games. I think the fuse protects the coil if the high voltage switch on the relay were to get stuck on. My thinking is that the PBDB modification replaces that relay and means that the coil will only ever get a single pulse of power so the fuse is probably unnecessary after doing the modification. Just wanted to confirm.
