How does one know if they have a prototype of the game or a production game? Having an issue with the basement upkicker not working with a Pascal all in one board in production mode. Switch to prototype mode, and the upkicker works, but not the upkicker to the top level, or the basement saucer. Anyone have any ideas?

What is the serial number on your machine? Is there an S in the serial number? Early HH do have known wiring differences.

There is no S in the serial number. Does that mean it's a production game then?

What Pascal is calling a " prototype " most collectors would call a " sample game ". Sample games did have differences. If there is not an S after the serial number on the cabinet it is not a sample game.

Looking at the serial number database it looks like production games started with serial number of 5000 . So it's greater than 5000 it's a production game and not a sample game.
