normally I wouldn't give a back story but i think to really get the feeling of what I am feeling i think it's a must.

i have been really busy this week with a software launch in the gulf, which mean we have to get up at 2am to go to work and pretty much stay there until 7pm.

So I set tonight aside so i could change all the blown lamps on my haunted house as i have got it back to almost 100%. The help from here has been amazing.

very carefully, went through and changed all the blown ones exchanging like for like, i need to get a box flasher bulbs before they go extinct.

turned on the machine to bask in the new found illuminated glory, and it was magnificent not a light missing in sight. then i started a game...

the outhole kicker fired, which also fired the top centre hole kicker. i thought that's odd. when the ball landed in the up kicker, it scored repeatedly then stopped and said soot again. grabbed the ball reset tried again, ball landed in the center kicker same symptoms. that's when i noticed from the off when the kicker fires, double score light comes on number 3 in the bonus game.

so I grabbed the ball and started testing and #1 and #2 kickers fire but trigger an ERR 2 on coil 2. which is a missing coil. i have put a MM on the upkicker and i am getting resistance. so i dont think its that.

so I spent the last 2 hours crawling through every wire and contact making sure its connected and not shorting. Could not see anything amiss.

I am going to have to go to bed now, so tired and work tomorrow but this worked last time to fault find with you experts in the states.

any advice to find the issue or if anyone has had this please send your knowledge this way.

I love pinball, been having so much ball time on this lately as its been working well, then they go and brake your heart!!

when you start a game, the hole kicker pushes the ball out to fire. that also fires the top center solenoid. that is not normal behaviour.

If you put the ball in top centre or top right, you get the score but no solenoid trigger. top right hole is coil 2. if you take the ball out of the hole and hit kicking target 1 or 2. on the left side that triggers the coil 2 error.

my plan is to remove all the bulbs I have changed first then check, if still failed look for touching or frayed wires.

any experience or "this is what I did in the past/or do" greatly received.
