Hey gang,

Picked up a dead haunted house. All fuses are good. When I turn it on the lights work and the displays lit up and you could add a ball manually and it would score and play. No sound.

Now, just lights come on and no playing can be done. Any help would be great

So here is what I got after reconnecting wires.

There have been no mods to the boards and are original. I have read to replace the orange capacitor ( sprague d76624) but am unable to find them.

Any first checks I should do prior to buying all new rotten dog boards?

Hey mike. Thanks a lot. At the owners house, it was playing without sound and scoring was happening. Displays were clear.

I ordered an orange capacitor and will install that. Sounds like it's a root problem.

Replacing orange capacitor tomorrow and will also do ground mods.

Help. All ground mods and new capacitor added to the bottom. Still nothing new.

Hey Ken,

There is some acid remains on the CPU board. Nothing has been repinned.

I did take a few minutes (family stuff this weekend) and squeeze the fuse clips tighter and you know that made a world of difference.

When starting it up. Music plays and ball kicks out. Flippers work. But kickers do not.

That's progress! I will look at getting stuff to re-pin since it's still sketchy and sometimes flippers won't work and all of that.
