Love it or hate it, it's very different from the new Sterns currently available.
I hope that both JJP and Stern can take the best parts of WOZ and use them moving forward.
Personally, the game does little for me. I'm not sure I appreciate wide body machines, and the theme doesn't thrill me either.
If, however, they took ACDC, Metallica, or Xmen (I think the game would be much better with more space for everything on the playfield, as it plays too cramped in my opinion), and merged it with WOZ, it could be the ultimate pin.
JJP has done some great things with WOZ, especially given it's his first release.
I don't think WOZ has revolutionized pinball with it's lukewarm reception, but I think Jack's on the right path.
I'm looking forward to seeing Smog and what it does on The Hobbit. I expect it will be better than the average bash toy.

Too bad nobody's allowed to appreciate that both StarTrek AND WOZ look way brighter and flashier than pretty much all other pins ever made.
You all can argue back and forth some more. I'd rather worry about the next pin that may come out that'll be an improvement over both of these ones!
(Fingers are crossed it's KISS aka: ACDC II starring Ritchie and Sheats)

I think Beelzeboob made the best point.
You can't tell if WOZ is better or worse than a Stern title just because there were line-ups at some of the Stern games.
Too many factors to consider. Ie: number of available WOZ machines, and the fact that it was a JJP open house.
Most people there probably own a WOZ already. Since it's a deep game, it's not as likely that most would just walk up to one for a "quick game", unlike ACDC or Metallica.
Look: you don't need to see if other people like WOZ or Stern titles more. You need to play both and decide for yourself.
You also need to understand that not everyone will share your opinion, and that's actually best for pinball.
Not sure why so many people on here feel the need to "blast the other side" though.

For the record, I thought that WOZ felt like it was better built that the average Stern but with all pins I've owned. Still, I had some issues. The best part: both JJP and Stern have always supported their pins to my satisfaction with the exception of the Avengers.

Quoted from Pinchroma:

And most folks have never played mustang because not many people purchased one lol. I'm curious who this actually is.

Because nobody likes a pinball machine with a bad theme.
