I have had great success and results with Scotch Brite on my lockdown bars. Has anyone tried to SB the side rails. I am concerned that they made be made of a different metal and will just come out all scratched up.

Scotch Brite is fine. Then I use 600 grit sand paper dipped in 91% iso. I follow this up with 00 Steel Wool.
I use scotch brite green pads dipped in warm water with a little dawn detergent to regain metal ball guides and side rails. Clean with alcohol and use wax to finish. Sometimes I will use mothers mag wheel cleaner to polish them some before wax.
Yes. It works good if they're not too bad. If you really have to bear down and scrub to get something off it will leave a dull spot you'll have to polish out.
yup... if scratches are deep, i'll use something more aggressive to start out with, then move to the scrubbie... then clean well and hit with mothers...

On the stainless steel stuff, just make sure to go in the direction of the graining.
Exactly. Always go with the grain.
