Has anyone tried to bend a wireform to re-direct the ball?

I want to customize an existing wireform to direct the ball to the inlane instead of having it shoot right at the flipper. It is the right length and only needs to be bent over about an inch.

Is it possible? Have you tried it? And if so, how.

My only other alternative is to customize my own built from scratch wireform which I am not keen on.

    Thanks, Joel

Knowing the game or seeing the pic would probably help. I have bent my own with pliers, but it was a small one on Star Trek to make the "Away Team" switch register accurately. I wanted to keep the original one stock in case adjustments didn't work anyway.

I would say you need to be very careful, since chrome can be fairly brittle.

Something to consider might be if the wireform is chromed, it may mess up the finish. Also depending on where the bend is you may need to reweld if a weld breaks. If not overly concerned with the current finish of the wire, adding some heat may help ease the bend

    Ditto^^

You can powdercoat if you chip, fairly inexpensive. I'd use some heat, bend to shape, then powdercoat it

What game? If it's long enough you might be able to just move it over to the inlane if it's not one of the games that just has straight ends.
Very slight bends can be made with pliers but as others noted, it's likely to mar the chrome finish.

Can you loosen the screws holding wire form, re adjust it enough, and retighten?

I actually want to have it powder coated eventually, so finish is not a concern.

Just wondering if it is possible. Have to move the end about 1.5 inches over a run of about 8 inches./
