If the DMD suddenly died it may have put alot of stress on the DMD controller which could of caused voltage spike?

So I'm a firm believer in bad power and what it can do to pinball and arcade games. I would definitely install a power conditioner on all your equipment there. Don't take chances.
also could be massive back emi spikes if the aircon had little protection circuitry.
