Quoted from tb0ne:Personally I'd be hesitant to share space with another enthusiast. I think it could get tricky.
My goal is to find a space inexpensive enough that it would be worth freeing up the extra space in my house, while at the same time gaining extra space for pins at the commercial location. Around here there are some old mill buildings that tend to have inexpensive space. Something like that would be ideal, but also brings into play things like additional insurance.
Don't be hesitant. You can work it much like us car enthusiats do. We divide up "areas" in the garage. You pay for the square footage. One guy holds the main lease, while everyone else leases from him. You could be "the guy".
When I was doing this I wasn't the "guy", but a leasee. I paid only for the square footage I needed or asked for. Everyone was cool. It didn't hurt that there was a security camera's all over the place for break in's. Made me feel secure that my tools were going to be left alone too.
