Need to transport 4 pins a good distance. Has anyone ever used a U-Haul Trailer to move pins? Just trying to think of the cheapest way.

Sure, nothing wrong with a Uhaul trailer.

Bring lots of ratchet straps and mover's blankets.

You should also know that any rental yard will have enclosed utility trailers for ~$15 a day.

If its an open top get a couch bag from ace hardware. Took a restored silverball mania from Iowa to Michigan for my dad and it rained hard. Bags kept it nice and dry.

Yup...I used a 5x8 u-haul when i picked up Tats and Gaps pins, 4 easily fit.

Yep, pulled one from Suffolk, VA to Atlanta, GA and back to pick up an Ironman. vid1900 was spot on about extra ratchet straps and movers blankeets. I also plastic wrap my pins for transport and have hunks of cardboard to put between the straps and the blankets. Probably overkill but better safe than sorry.

Ok so I got a uhaul 5x8 enclosed trailer. How do you guys lock these to your receiver/hitch?

The ball adapter is just a screw down

I only see one eye hook to ratch down in each corner :/ leaves much to be desired but it should work okay to move two.

I moved 2 pins with a small U-haul trailer , everything was fine , just bring enough strap and blanket ...

I just don't want the trailer stolen I guess.... I do however think I'll need a few more Straps. I have one blanket for each machine. Did you lie them down or stand the machines up?
