I have had a cheap 55" lcd tv outside under the eave of my pool bar for a couple years now without issue. Bought one of those cheap fabricy type covers off of amazon and it's kept all the water and other elements off of it. In the winter time i move it into my unheated garage and it does just fine there as well, even when the garage gets down well below freezing.
