New to EM's, learning the theory behind the electronics and trouble shooting, but have a long way to go. I have a Trail Drive and it is filthy. Ive torn down a ton of solid state games and WPC era games and have always washed the harness when needed(bare harness, everything removed). What are the steps to getting these harness's, switch stacks, and coils clean in a EM game? Is there a way to pre-wash them, then attend to the contacts for filing/cleaning? All tips and tricks are greatly appreciated!

This is all awesome information and I enjoy reading the processes and dissection of them amongst other collectors.

No, I am not attempting to spit shine the machine. Honestly, I thought the best way to familiarize myself with the machine was to inspect every inch of it for damage or potential issues, by cleaning it. It’s the most intimate way to familiarize yourself with it. It has some issues, so maybe by paying attention to its details I may actually find the gremlins before needing to fully troubleshoot it.

I’ll definiteky click the links and give the restoration thread a read!! I look forward to picking up your prices as well as tips!! Thanks for the responses guys!!
