Couldn’t you still get ghosting of sorts, if the hard top separated from the inserts?

Quoted from Jason43:The hardtop doesn't adhere to the inserts
I thought people were spraying down clear adhesive to attach?
Quoted from Jason43:None of the inserts have adhesive. It's just a clear window. The rest of the overlay does, just not where there's an insert. This is the reason you don't get ghosting if the insert starts to cup
If there is a gap between the hardtop and insert, will it look off though? Not full ghosting.
Would black hole be a possibility? My pf isn’t blown out but the rings around the pops are and I know a ton of people with blown out pf’s that would do this, since there is no new pf available
Quoted from VDrums2112:Does Outsidedge realize the monster they have created?!?!
I have never seen owners of older games so excited (including myself) about any one product since I've been in this hobby. Just waiting for a game I own to have a Hardtop made for it *cough-Mata Hari-cough* so I can slap one these bad boys on there!
If sales are as good as the demand has been, that's enough to keep you guys busy for many many years to come!

This also makes me not worry to buy an old blown out of game on their list as I can restore it fairly easily.

HAHAHHAAHH. I get so excited when I see an new post...and then it isn't an announcement
Everyone keeps req'ing but you have to remember how these are made!
64bsstp reminds us, if you can help contribute a PF, please do!
Quoted from 64bsstp:Two points:
1) Just to be clear I am not part of the Outeredge/Pinballgifts organization. I do not know what titles they are preparing or want to do unless it's been announced in this thread somewhere. I'm just a pinball enthusiast who volunteered to send OuterEdge stripped playfields they were looking for (way back in the earlier posts) so they could create the Hardtops. Then when I received my playfields back with the prototype Hardtops I needed to reassemble the playfield looking for disparities such as misaligned inserts, extra holes, missing holes, etc.
2) Those of you who want a Hardtop done for a particular title should be prepared to someday, sometime maybe be asked to strip that playfield (top & bottom) and ship it to them. Then 2-3 months later put it back together. Somebody has to do that work to get the Hardtop released.
Quoted from freddy:Wish I could contribute with a solar fire play field but mine is toast id buy a GL if they make one and a fathom too! maybe even a vector although my vector is really nice. really digging my TAXI Hardtop!
Yeah! If I still had my checkpoint nos pf I would of shipped that off.
