Quoted from merccat:

I would like to see 8-ball done.

I would like to 2nd this... I'm also excited that Mata Hari has been mentioned as being worked on. I'd like to add Old Chicago to my wish list for this product... Space Time/Time Zone I could use too but there probably is no demand for that title other than myself.

Debating heavily on buying your Taxi hardtop to replace my discolored original playfield.

skypilot , Will your talk be recorded? As somebody who has done clearing of an original PF, cleared an overlay, and looking forward to the HS hardtop, I'd like to see that presentation.

So we did a Facebook live on the seminar. Look up pirates Life Pinball on Facebook if you wish to see the presentation.

So we were fortunate to have the designer of this product show up to the Cleveland pinball show and check things out.

Impressive product.
Changes the way I look for specimens for restoration for sure.

#407 2 years ago

Throwing a vote in for Space Station.

I'm in the middle of fixing mine up and I'm just down because I know it won't be as nice as my Space Shuttle.

#408 2 years ago

Bally Night Rider would be great. They made so many and most of the playfields I've come across are rough.

#409 2 years ago

is High Speed going to be made? The repo's are selling 1,000 - 1,200.

I'm hoping it gets going in the next few months. I have an HS restore I have paused because I'd rather do a hardtop instead of insert decals/overlay/clearcoat.

#411 2 years ago

How about Bally's Kiss?

#412 2 years ago

I know Spirit would have quite a few takers, myself and the many people both in the US and overseas with bad playfields.

#413 2 years ago

Will you be bringing any of the hardtops to Pinball Expo? Wizard is the one I'm interested in. Also are you doing any seminars at Expo?

#415 2 years ago

Would any Gottlieb titles be possible? Lots of system 80 and 80b titles out there.

Just to be a pain in the ass....how's comet coming along?

Very glad to see this new product - all the people I've turned down for restos in the past because of crappy pfs may now have a second shot. Can't wait to see more titles available after seeing it in person.

Ha! No worries... just waiting on the prototyping collector to report in one last time.

Yes! I agree with all those otherwise complete games that just need the Hardtop. The big hurdle is to get past the "stigma" of it being accused of just being a "sticker" overlay. It's not even close. NEVER PART OUT A PINBALL MACHINE... well unless it was in the swimming pool or something.

This was saved with the help of a hardtop overlay:

Are these gonna stay in production and stocked, or are they going to be a limited run? I.E. If i decide a year or two from now that i want to hardtop my Taxi, will i still be able to buy one for it?

This question has been answered a few times, but I don't mind refreshing.... Yes, these will be available for the foreseeable future. However, if sales just are not there we will not continue to manufacture them. It's a time and resources thing... I think we all have day jobs, and can understand that it does not make sense to manufacture something that does not sell.

Secondly, if there comes a time that we are out of stock (or backordered) material, it could be months waiting on it. This stock is coated as a custom run at a large manufacturer... and this project is an exceedingly small run for them (think back of the line scenarios).

At this time we have plenty of stock, and plan to order more when we start getting low.

So, yes the will be available unless the title becomes completely dormant with sales.

It will be done. Guessing in the next 12 months.

Sorry for piling on but this is really cool, if you ever get around to doing Bride of Pinbot, I'd be willing to try. This Mylar isn't going to last forever and a pull will most likely hurt the poor girl.
Maybe I'll stop over at expo.

I wonder why they don't do a run of regular playfields ... I'm fairly confident people would pay a premium price for a low run of Spirit playfields.

I'm in the process of installing a taxi hardtop. Is waxing recommended?

#449 1 year ago

As this product continues to evolve and picks up popularity, can we expect the sky is the limit as far as titles go? Are their barriers with licensing? Just curious because I have some data east titles that I would love to use the hard top on.

Yes! It works well.
