I’m curious to hear from people on what game they believe is hardest to beat the default Grand Champion.
As an example, I had a difficult time getting over the $60M default GC on No Good Gofers. Candidly, I think I’ve only been able to do it 3 times. I still haven’t cleared default initials from the high scores! You can hit a few jackpots and super jackpot, get through all 9 holes and the hole in one challenge, look up and you’re at 39M.
Twilight zone also seemed to be a challenger as well. I think I eventually had to get lost in the zone and score well in a few modes and nab a jackpot or two before finally getting through.
Other 90s games didn’t seem as hard to break the GC default.
On the other hand, my first or second game of NIB Mando and Godzilla finds the top spot of the scoreboard. And 75% of games thereafter are all higher than the default GC.
That contrast of easy-to-beat versus hard-to-beat GC “from the factory” is intriguing to me.
So, what’s the hardest default GC score to beat and why?
