switch question. while playing Station 3 is hit or miss when hitting the targets. with the glass off and rolling the ball to the switches or using my fingers they do fine, its just during game play that there is an issue. it seems that glancing blows work better. i did clean and wax the game and she plays fast so maybe that's the issue but seeing if anyone else had this issue
Quoted from Quench:Sounds like someone might have cut the 0.047uF capacitors off those switches which are there to help detection in fast hit scenarios.
is it just one capacitor or does each switch have one?
Quoted from Quench:Yes, every switch that can have very fast hits needs a capacitor. And that's every standup target. There's some other switches with capacitors, they are shown in the playfield switch schematic in the manual. Specifically the four hoop switches, normal and double power switches, left and right return lane switches, the standup target behind the inline drop targets and all other standup targets.
I checked, each switch has one. Any other ideas?
Quoted from Quench:Have you cleaned the switches?
Are both legs of the capacitors connected or has a previous operator cut a leg due to malfunction?
Legs are both there. I will clean. Is it possible the stop bar is too close?
