Quoted from Pecos:Hardbody must be the most 'almost rethemed' pinball machine in the world!
I've probably shared this already, but here is a rough layout for my retheme. I'm going to cover all of the "tournament" inserts and just display them on a "cure tracker" which will be an interactive topper.
Quoted from toasterman04:PM sent!!
One 'Station 3' plastic has been claimed! One more left.
Edit: Both have been claimed.
Quoted from Pecos:was each station supposed to be the making of a burger??
Pecos, you don't miss a thing, yes in my concept re-theme, one would attempt to make the burgers.
Quoted from Axl:I would love a translate that would be in the same art style as the play field.
The ministry version is just.... too much.
No its not!
Quoted from Willathrilla:Anybody have a line on a station 3 plastic?
I can send you a couple plexi blanks and reverse printed water slide decal if your interested. Not sure how the colors will match up but likely better than your custom piece.
PM me.
Can anyone post some photos of the wiring to left flippercoil? Need a reference to get some loose wires on.
Thanks

Quoted from Tokkentakker:Looking for an NOS or very nice playfield for a Hardbody. Hoping to get one nice enough to get professionally clearcoated. Would sure make for one fast pin!
There's one on eBay now.

Thats a big project!! Even though it looks simple, you need to unsolder and unstaple every lamp socket.
Quoted from Willathrilla:There's one on eBay now.
I've studied that one and there are just too many differences. I think it would be very difficult to use.

Definitely a task. I want to convert all lamps to bayonet
sockets anyway though.

I cannot spot them. But looks good. Whats better than NOS?
Quoted from Axl:Does anyone know the correct flipper switches for this game?
In the manual it says A365-00046-0000 and A365-00045-0000 on the right side.
[quoted image][quoted image]
They should be identacle. A365-00046-0000 looks correct.
Hey guys, I just built the virtual VPX version of this and picked up the real pin two days ago. Mine is not working at the moment but I am in the process of restoring it. I am looking for a station 3 plastic, both kicker plastics, and the long one on the bottom left. Anyone parting out let me know, thanks Tom
Quoted from Atari_Daze:I will be cutting more Station 3 blanks next week and can print off more water slide decals for anyone interested, PM me.
So that one did not happen but I should be cutting some on 2/17.
I'm going to add two kickers and the long bottom left piece for Armyaviation. PM me all that are interested. I'll cut plenty of extra Station 3 for future use.
I'll print the water slide decals also, all you will need to do is just put the pieces together.

Hi, i am trying to find a replacement for the coil A-30-3000 used in the ball sve. I know marcos sells them, but the shipping to Norway is brutal.
Does anyone know?
I have been searching the https://www.pinballmedic.net/coilchart.html and https://www.flippers.com/coil-resistance.html to no luck.
Does anyone have a picture of the switch stacks on hardbody? I am trying to resurrect a game, and the upper left flipper is not working. I suspect it is something wrong with the switches.

Here's mine. Upper left.
I'm in need of upper flipper bats with the long shaft. Can't find them anywhere & getting concerned.

Can somebody explain the behaviour of the LED on soundboard? Have no sound. Mine lights on bootup , then two shorter blinks. Apperently, there should be three blinks, with the third being a test of "u11" but hardbodies dont have a U11
Can anyone with the game setup help remind me of some of the rules? When the ramps are raised for the "Power Reps" is the progression 50K, 100K, 200K, and 400K plus Extra Ball? This my understanding, but if someone could actually shoot these shots and watch the scores, I'd be grateful. Second, and you remind me what lights the playfield value X2 and if those stack with the "Power Reps" and "Tournament" progress. Thank you.
has anybody removed the top playfield ?
i need to clean the lower playfield loops under it and change bulbs if there is any.
I finally got my Hardbody working again, special thanks to Willathrilla
This game is a monster! the flow is unique and the ball never stops, it keeps you on your toes through the game.
We had it in a tournament, and it quickly became a dollar game after the finals where done.
I am surprised of how brutal, fun and way underrated game this is! My original plan was just to fix it up, play a few games and sell it, now it is staying for the unforeseeable future.
If this was a hit movie theme it would have been in pinside top 30 or something.
It's a game that will make you a better player. I love having to pick off each of those individual targets. I'm not sure I've shared it in this thread, but I ended up retheming my Hardbody in part because I think the layout and rules are already great. It's the theme that some can't seem to get over.
Quoted from lpeters82:I wouldn't be changing the rules at all, but it sure would be nice to change the sound. Something more dramatic for the background loop plus replacing the breathing, grunting, and clanking with something like, "Sample collected!" or "We've got a sample!". I'd add some radio static to give the effect that there are teams traveling around and reporting back to the Center of Disease Control (CDC). As you loop the jackpot, "The treatments seem to be working!"
In terms of the artwork, the hardest part would be getting the playfield to line up with existing inserts. My ideal art would be a map/grid, similar to the background artwork on The Cure. This map/grid pattern would cover most of the upper and lower playfields; as a subtle nod to the original grid background on Hardbody. The bottom of the lower playfield would be the CDC lab area similar to the artwork on In The Lab. This is where progress is tracked on the inserts. Around each target bank, I'd want each diseases represented by a color coded "molecule type thing"; similar to the artwork from Contagion. These could even be used on the targets themselves. Plastics would tie into the map look, but show more of a ground's eye view of the chaos: riots, road blocks, the infected, quarantines, etc. If I were using "borrowed art", I'd probably base a lot of those on Tom Clancy's The Division. When I was more serious about it, I thought about reaching out to Z-Man Games. It would be amazing to have full access to their artwork.
PS: Have you played Pandemic Legacy: Season One? If not, I'd recommend it.

Wow how Prophetic...5 years ago he knew Covid was coming.
Just joined the club bought one missing the translite. Does anyone have an art file for one?

I have an extra translight (non-mirrored) if you are still looking. I obviously don't check in on this thread super often, so a PM is probably better.
Quoted from Darkfader:Well, things got intersting when I finished this restoration of my Hardbody
Still love Hardbody. Totally underrated game.
