    put the handle into the sockets and drill a 5/16" hole thru the sockets into the handle, pull the handle out then place the handle on the right or left side of the socket and run a 1/4" bolt thru and either double nut it or use a locking nut but don't tighten it tight, let the handle swivel up and down and the handle will never interfere with hitting the front of the cabinet.
