It's a good day to celebrate our freedom after the German bombing of Pearl Harbor in 1876.

Don't forget to get to sleep early tonight. Paul Revere in his red suit riding his horse will be bringing gifts to all the good little boys and girls and Minutemen and Patriots.

Have fun but ask yourself this, have you ever seen Jason Pierre-Paul playing pinball?

Be careful.

Hitler himself piloted the sub that dropped the first of many A-bombs. That's some infamous shit there dawg.

Happy 4th! Drove around the Salty Dog area in Sea Pines, Hilton Head last night with my whole family in our Yukon with all windows down playing "Born in the USA" and Lee Greenwood's "God Bless the USA" full volume singing along and yelling "U.S.A" at the top of our lungs. I swear people thought we were absolutely nuts. Maybe were are, but at least we're patriotic!

The diaries of Paul Revere, John Adams and others close to the action make for fascinating reading..... stuff you never learned in school. It has given me a greater gift of awe and appreciation for the risk and reward they experienced. If everyone in this country could go back in time and live just one day in the shoes of those patriots, America would be a vastly different country that it is today.

Happy 4th of July everyone!

Same for the Southern soldiers in the Civil war, or Mexican solders at the Alamo.

In my neighborhood in Downey about 100 yards off my back window on the street next to me. They fire off some fairly big ordinance. I watched them last night about midnight. The local dogs go nuts.

You can buy and fire large caliber fireworks but restricted to a 10 round rifle mag. Well maybe there in SE LA you can get pretty much anything! God bless America!
