Quoted from JSC:Not sure “fault” is the word I’d chose, but they created a unique and nonrefundable sales model that certainly has an impact on the current market. Had no way to know spots would be available at a loss. This was my first go around with Spooky, not waiting for more gameplay won’t happen again. Much prefer the Stern model of showing hours of gameplay right at announcement instead of weeks after the game has been announced and sold out from distributors. Still hoping it ends up being a good game that I enjoy. Live and learn.
Build time was disclosed at the beginning. Spooky team has been interactive on these threads which is a plus. Their model will catch up as they get bigger. Glad to have them in a niche market.
Growing a business is scary shit, especially in these times. One wrong step ...boom your bankrupt.
Watched a lot of my friends that got killed around the .com, collapse, during the housing collapse, COVID, even in my industry.
I've watched Spooky grow with baby steps. They have big visions, but they are trying their best to grow with the flow...smart IMHO.
#1 is the communicate. You may not like exactly what you want to here, but at the least they are honest. AP is trying to do the same thing. Sometimes decisions are "damned if you do, damned if you don't"
Pinball is a high-end niche. My other hobby is audio, and I dabbled in startup in speakers, another niche market. I own a Integration/Network/Security company.
Dog eat dog world out there...I like how Spooky has grown their business...quality and communication
Quoted from Kkoss24:Ok ,I’m fine if we’re not getting “don’t fear the reaper” ….as long as Bug,Luke, and Charlie film a video driving around Benton ,blowing a J while talking about Mr Riddle then post it here .The balls in your court boys . Legend status awaits you !
Can we get a Weird Al version...“don’t fear the reefer”
Wow...have you seen Stern's backorder list
Been waiting for my paid for Zepplin topper for 10 months
Be happy you have a game with a shooter rod. The knife will come.
I'm 417 with King Pin
Definitely don't want my machine rushed
Stay steady and true...keep up the good work Spooky
Quoted from Looprunner:Next silly question, do you know somewhere online I could get that size screw? I went to three hardware stores and they didn't have any. For some reason I can't find one online.
I'd try McMaster-Carr, they have all types of odd screws
Might even try local ACE hardware where they have all those bins
