Quoted from guitarded:Might be a good location for an MRS.
We done similar for RZ, ACNC and R&M, I'm certain an MRS would help here as well!

Quoted from P1nhead:Should be a standard switch on all games with fast loops/orbits, love our MRS on R&M.
Going to put a MRS on the bowl for CCr LE whenever that comes and will use MRS for this (and UM) whenever they come this year as well.
Your switches work great!
Thanks man!
Quoted from jeffro01:Where do you get an MRS? Sorry if that's a silly question.
Thanks,
Jeff
Never a silly question - our company is called M&M Creations and we make various models of MRS' for the pinball community (our biggest seller by far is R&M) - here on Pinside via testimonial/word of mouth - so simply put - you just message myself or Dan blubboman to order or if you have something you think we can resolve with an MRS. MRS stands for magnetic reed switch - technology from a few 90's era pins that was abandoned after 1999....we took up the cause a few years ago...

Quoted from arzoo:I believe each MRS may be specifically designed for a specific pin or manufacture, so I'm not sure if ones for an old Williams pin would work on Halloween? Maybe contact M&M.
This is correct arzoo ...Spooky playfield thickness is thinner than Williams....and the switch matrix circuit is different....but that said - we are also talking about 2 different' MRS'....Lostcause has the OEM Williams MRS' - whereas the R&M is a rollover variant....so - lots of apples & oranges in this discussion....further, we now make ramp specific MRS' (which are about half the size of the OEM original)....PM for more questions...
Here to help!

Quoted from jk2171:I believe an MRS switch would solve this issue for you. Check out the thread dedicated to MRS on the forum, and then get in contact with the OP.
Here we are....just PM me...I'm certain we can assist....(just ask every R&M owner!!)

Quoted from John_C:Nope, don't think an MRS is an option. The orbit guides are metal, not plastic, so can't put a MRS up top. And the playfield being 1/2" thick is too thick for an MRS on the bottom.
You bet an MRS is....that's why we have rollover MRS'....

Quoted from Calfdemon:Yeah, the way they make their roll over MRS switches, it will work fine in that spot. I put a full set in my R&M and love them. I also added one to a problem switch I had in ACNC before I sold it. They work amazingly well. I am pretty sure I will be getting a set for my Halloween once they have them as they never need to be adjusted and do not slow the ball. Its a great upgrade, even if the traditional switch works.
Thanks!

Quoted from monitorpop:No regrets getting them on my R&M. Won’t hesitate to get them if my HWN if needed… which is sounding likely.
Thanks!
Matt
I've had some requests rolling in (pun intended) for the orbit rollover switch issue - but no explicit photos (above and below) of the particular switch - can someone post that? I want to see where on the playfield the problem spot is and below is critical for mounting tab orientation....thanks!

Got pics! Thanks Charger68 - so no different than R&M (and some other Spooky pins)...standard left-hand tab rollover...yep - no problem - we make those if it's a problem for anyone's Halloween...

Quoted from PanzerKraken:So for anyone whose had iffy skill shot registering, do a switch test with the ball in the shooter and do a bunch of shots. So what's happening on mine is when launched, the ball randomly clips the top of the right orbit rollover switch, which triggers it and causes the skill shot to turn off apparently. It's highly inconsistent but upon looking at it during launch I can see the ball will sometimes hit that switch lightly but enough to register so it's highly sensitive. Even on a powerful plunge, it can randomly catch that tip of the switch on mine so why I get the flakey skill shots
MRS it!!
Matt
Quoted from PanzerKraken:Do what now?
As noted above - you can replace that rollover switch with MRS....a contactless, rollover....
Matt
Quoted from zebpin61:I agree with PanzerKraken, just would add that on HW when adjusting my right rollover switch, I found a soft roll-back would get stuck on the adjusted wire form. Ultimately I went with an magnetic reed switch (MRS). .
We like to hear that!
