I just got under the hood of Halloween, not my kind of movie theme but I have to say it's a fun and unique game. The butter cab is stunning. I also noticed the flipper mechanism and other goodies buried up inside the upper play fields. Since I will eventually be the one to repair these things, is it difficult to remove the upper sections? No manual came with the game.

Quoted from 2manyhobbies:

All 3 of my Michael Myers on the left are not working.

Quoted from 2manyhobbies:

I have a hard time believing all 3 motors are bad.

Believe it. I've replaced all 3 so far in a few months time.

Quoted from Beechwood:

Micheal looks like he's jerking off behind the bush when the game boots up.

Yup he's doing it here also. I think it's a "hard"ware problem.

I drilled a hole into the grey jersey barrier grey piece then bent a piano wire around the Phillips head screw to that hole to prevent the ball from hanging up. I used the https://www.marcospecialties.com/pinball-parts/77-8593

Quoted from Angell1028:

Anyone else still have problems with the auto fire?

Just did a service call and to my "horror" the auto plunger fork was dangling. Spooky, at least in this machine, left off a portion of the
play field that holds the bracket on the other side of the fulcrum.

So, the entire pivot point is attached by a very thin sliver of metal. I had to make a backing plate for the new one from Marco. The sliver of metal was even thiner on the replacement part.

4 screws hold that bracket in. If you only have two, then the unit is canalievered and undue stress eventually take it's toll.

Quoted from PanzerKraken:

This seems like it might work on Halloween

Unfortunately, it won't as the shooter lane is slightly to the left and the fix uses the right hand real estate to attach.

Any insight into why a Spooky Halloween would just go berserk? Meaning, it starts fine but quickly just gets possessed and
random does anything. Any suggestions on what to start to look for? The game is basically down. Thanks.

Solved my own problem. It was an internally shorted servo. Disconnected and the game played normally. Replaced and all is good.
