This arrived earlier[quoted image]

I got mine from Amazon last week! I have not watched it yet though.

Do we know if Halloween has the same LCD as Rick and Morty?

#577 2 years ago
Quoted from Boycer:

Only found 3 issues so far. 2 were easy fixes. Wires got ripped off the pumpkin during shipping. They had it protected with foam, but something else needs added to support it from twisting during shipping. Second issue was one of the orange plastic pop anchors on the topper fell out. I was lucky to find it buried in the box. Spooky should include a few of these in their goodie bags. Third is I keep getting a stuck ball in sanitarium
that is supposed to drop into the shooter lane. Rubbers are too close. I haven't figured this one out yet.Game plays great so far. Biggest surprise are the sounds. One of the better games I've played when it comes to music/effects. Game play is great so far. I suck and still need to learn rules. I'm impressed how fast it is. I don't know why I was expecting a slow game. I also find myself draining because I watch to watch the animations. Hope rest of you don't have any issues!
[quoted image]

I don’t like how they have the giant socket underneath the pumpkin. It would look much nicer if the hardware was hidden inside. When I get my machine this is something I am going to try and clean up.

That was me! Thanks for your spot! I'm now #241

And I am directly after you at 242!

Has anybody made a mod for the top left ball lock ramp thing? I think it looks out of place in the game and would like to put some lipstick on it.

For those of you who have received your cabinet already, How hard was the out of the box setup? Instructions came in the box I hope for the initial setup and testing?

Check this out:

What a mess. I wish Spooky did a better job with cable management.

#2059 2 years ago
Quoted from metallik:

What's the problem? It's nice to have some slack so you can pull the playfield out if needed. Cabling looks fine to me.

It is not well laid out or organized. Some cables are longer than others. It is just like R&M. I understand that this is inside the game and not seen by anyone except when working on the machine. I was really hoping that the wiring would be better in Halloween. It is kind of like this. Both work but one looks much better!

Why are the shooter rod face plates not powder coated if the coin door is on the CE machines? Seems strange to have one exposed metal trim piece that is different.

#2310 2 years ago

Thanks, I just ordered one! Seems really silly that it is not included. I just hope it color matches my machine well. I ordered a red one from another company for my WOZ and it did not match at all. I ended up not even installing it because the red was so far off.

#2403 2 years ago

I would just keep what you have!

#2570 2 years ago
Quoted from miyagiPins:

Another week or two until mine gets here.
Woooot!
Anyone buy other Halloween merchandise like shirts or anything to celebrate on shipment day??
Bake a Michael Myers cake or open a nice bottle of wine or whiskey?
Let’s talk how y’all celebrate this awesome pin showing up at your house.

Not really but I am receiving my powder coated shooter rod block and Halloween rug today.

Quoted from metallik:

PSA: Spooky packing material can easily be recycled into kitty scratchpads with some packing tape. Wrap around the ends, and then cover the bottom to catch the crumbs.
[quoted image]

LOL! I think people that have cats and pinball machines are crazy! No way I would risk having my machines scratched up.

#2883 2 years ago

I also have fish tanks which are not cat compatible!

I just got word that #242 will ship on Monday and will be on its way to Texas!

#2982 2 years ago
Quoted from John_C:

How are you folks getting your build & shipping confirmations? Are you contacting Spooky and asking or are you getting an email notification?

All of my interactions and communications have been directly with Nitro (the distributor I bought from).

#3015 2 years ago
Quoted from Tablewicked:

For the people keeping track of shipping, I just got a shipping confirmation from Nitro for #241!

Same for 242, should be delivered in Houston on Wednesday!

#3117 2 years ago

242 was delivered today. Got a stuck ball during my first 10 minutes of play. Could not free it even shaking the cabinet. I know I recall seeing this in the past. The factory should modify the rubbers to help prevent this.

Quoted from lpeters82:

It's a simple fix. Just pinch the rubber between the two posts and give it a pull. That will take the slack out of the rubber along that bottom side.

Have you tried installing a rubber that is 1/4” smaller?

#3193 2 years ago
Quoted from GreenMachine19:

My wife and I first played Halloween at Pintastic after I had already preordered. Her one negative comment was that knife looks fake, can’t you do something about that? I said yes so here you go. Real knife. Not sharp, I took the edge off so I wouldn’t slice myself open. Had to be done. My wife required it. One added bonus, it doesn’t flex or bounce around like the plastic one.
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

Looks great! Would you you be open to making another one and selling it to me?

#3371 2 years ago

I got my new LCD installed. The blacks look so much better. I highly recommend this mod.

Quoted from GreenMachine19:

Has anyone who upgraded to the IPS monitor having issues with the sound? The screen is definitely better. The picture is way more crisp. But it seems like the sub woofer does not work at all. I’ve messed with the volume settings on the amp and monitor controls volume. I contacted IPS but they don’t respond at all. The sound on mine is superior with the stock monitor.

No problems here. I would reseat all of the connections.

Quoted from iceman44:

Are the newer games shipping with the knife shooter rod? #132 here and wondering if they are catching up?

Yes, my game is 242 and came with the correct shooter rod.

I followed the instruction, correct file name, 32GB flash drive (that I have used to update countless color DMDs and Stern machines) but I am now in an endless boot with this message. Just emails spooky. Hopefully I can get it resolved quickly.

I like that the Michaels move now when you hit the switches by them.

How do you tell your build date? My SN is HAL071210242 but I don't see a build date. I know it was ~ late January 2022.

Quoted from Morgoth00:

Can't believe Halloween didn't win for best art at least
But best topper hell yah!

It has the best cabinet and backglass of the group but not the playfield in my opinion. I did vote for Halloween though.
