Onto finishing off the small PF...thankfully I got my new pair of flush snips in the mail today right in time. And a great pair without the tapered edge. What was life like before Amazon?

Very cool. Thanks for following.
If anybody has a JL with a worse apron, let me know before Tuesday or Wednesday. This one is pretty nice, so I’d be willing to swap mine out if you want a better one before I make my drop to the powder guy.

Welcome back to the group Kevin. Today we are talking about pinball addiction.
Quoted from Colsond3:“Dishes are done, man.” Now on to the more fun part and actually building this thing.

Haha. Actually the first thought I had when I pulled out that last leg bolt, and I couldn’t even remember which movie it was right away. Man, getting old sucks.
And I got sick of staring at that unfinished Superman armor while taking pics for Hallo. All I had left to powder on that game, so I just ripped that off too. Looks like the powder bill is gonna be hefty this time around.
Man, the red and white paint that was under the rails looks so sweet.
Manual says original is an 8 ohm speaker, and it looks like 6.5”.

Can I use a 4 ohm coaxial like this instead? Or anybody have suggestions? I’m debating on tapping a second speaker into the backbox.

Your ohms only matter as long as your speaker matches your cabinet speaker ohm wise.
This thread should help out with info

It shouldn’t matter what game is used, just the way it’s built

All you gotta say is "I'm on top of that Rose" then just figure it out later.
Gotta say, I bought and just watched the new Halloween to get me in the mood to do more on this project again tomorrow.
A little disappointed. For a sequel that had so much potential, they really could’ve done much more with it. Glad that I went with the original for my theme. Much scarier.

I thought it was great.

Really? I didn’t think it was horrible, it was good. But Laurie hiding out in a bunker-like compound and preparing to do battle, training her kid in true Sarah Connor style? I just wasn’t really “scared” watching it. Definitely a different, eerie feeling watching the original.
I’ll have to watch it a second time.
I am watching this tread in hopes of seeing how you redo the playfield artwork. I am looking to retheme a gameplan cocktail pinball machine (Foxy Lady). Really need a lot of help/insights on how to do the playfield.
Please share details on this process

Thanks for following. I’ll definitely share details. This has been slow going, but I wasn’t expecting to complete this project quickly. Was busy most of the winter unexpectedly at work so it’s been a slower process.
The playfield art will be an overlay, then clearcoated with Varathane at my buddy’s shop.

Yeah. The passage of time really works with this film. Watching right after the first is the best way. JLC was really good in this film. The scene where they transfer Michael and she's in the car with the gun is very effective. The ending in the house was well shot too, I thought.
The doctor thing with the mask was odd. That was the only thing that was off to me.
The original credit titles with dead pumpkin coming back was perfect to reflect the rebirth of this series after all of the terrible sequels and reboots.

Agreed on that. And the music during that scene was perfect. I’m a big score guy, as a musician.
And I agree on the opening scene being a little odd too. Although it was interesting seeing the male doctor being the actor from Tom Hardy’s series Taboo on FX. I haven’t seen him in much else.
The dead pumpkin coming back was a nice touch for those who got the metaphor. The ending was kind of abrupt with the granddaughter just holding the knife as well.

Oh, I liked the opening scene. I was talking about the doctor wearing the mask scene as being odd.

Oh yeah, that was weird. The “new Loomis” per JLC. At least he didn’t have it on long. Opening scene was odd, but necessary and a bit freaky. It wasn’t bad.
Like I said, I’ll have to watch it again to really absorb it. It would’ve been better in the theater. Should’ve seen it then.

Ahhhh.....yes in the theater with fans....great time.

I was wondering the same thing in regards to the playfield artwork. This should make for an interesting thread.

Sorry to derail your thread any more, but as a huge horror fan, I'm with you. It was good but, seems off in several places.
For example, she has been training for years and all that. So, when "the bad guy" enters her house, which gun does she grab? The nice tactical shot gun, perfect for home defense or a super long rifle totally impractical for clearing rooms..? *sigh*
At any rate, looking forward to seeing the progress!

Well, she most likely "self" trained, so that might explain some bad decisions. She wasn't shown to be a perfect character by any means.
