It’s been a long time, and I had really lost steam with the Spooky release. But decided to get back in and finish this.
Due to a slight overlap with my game and the Spooky game, I scrubbed the playfields, repainted white base and went back to scratch.
They should be done shortly, and reassembled in time for PinFest. In anticipation, here’s an earlier photo after we restarted about a month ago. From a distance
More pics to come.

Definitely. Think we chatted for nearly 20 minutes, and I was able to show him pics of the game, talked about filming the last scene in Halloween Kills, and several other things. Very cool and chill dude.
Quoted from P1nhead:Maybe a lil update with Halloween around the corner?
Quoted from mrm_4:I just found this thread holy Hell man!!!
I’m nickel and diming this thing still, but the guy helping me finish the playfields is taking quite a while. I have been working on the music.
I’ll still get it done, hopefully an update coming soon.
Quoted from LTG:Damn that looks great !

Thanks buddy. It’s been a long damn road and a lot of work and waiting, but finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.
Quoted from John-Floyd:Gonna blow spooky’s’ Halloween out of the water that’s for sure…well done!
Haha. Thanks.
I’ll have them side-by-side shortly.

I like how you figured the "W" for the nose on Michael's clown mask.

It’s really a shame to lose any of the art at all, but the lights must shine through.
We did leave the mouth on Michael’s face above the tombstone. That was supposed to be a pumpkin for the “10” insert, but I wanted to leave his face complete.
All the tape removed. Actually going to throw on a light coat of clear to lock in the art as it stands now.
Then add the names for the drop targets, some other minor art, and finish the inserts.
Happy with how it’s coming along so far. Looks great from this angle with the borders of the PF visible. Getting stoked again!!

I’m hoping that eventually I will be lucky enough to get to play this machine at a future Allentown or York Show.
I just spent two hours picking up branches blown down by the 50mph winds last night.
Now I’m warming up and watching The Inside Story:Halloween that I recorded back in the Fall.
Quoted from NovaCade:Damn Colson, this is turning out so friggin sweet. Amazing job, keep it up
Thanks. And definitely. I’m in the homestretch now from what has felt like an eternity.

Just great work all around.
That guy's airbrushing skills are fantastic! The artwork is top notch! Supurb! From cab to playfield it IS a work of art!
You're so close now.

I hear you. And thanks for the compliments. Franny kicks ass.
I know it’s taking a long time, but I’m learning during this process so I can do things the right way, and enhancing my art skills. And my sister recently became severely ill (diagnosed with ALS), so that took a few months to accept and help her through. And that is ongoing.
Some people PM me and ask why it’s taking so long … who don’t realize this isn’t some crappy overlay or photoshopped art. Sure he used some existing images as a guide, but every inch of this game is airbrushed by hand. I can’t even count the amount of hours he and I have worked on this pin so far.
I do appreciate all the followers and comments from people in the community. It definitely keeps me going.

Sorry to hear about your sister and best wishes.
As someone who just tries to restore old EM's, the amount of work you guys doing on here is just huge. I absolutely appreciate the time you've invested so far and it shows.
How much does Fanny charge an hour?
I have always wanted to re-theme an old EM. I can do the general art sketches but can't pull off the airbrushing like Fanny can. Was thinking a Steam Punk pin and clever use of a small smoke machine, but with a 6 year old maybe something kid friendly.
Keep up the great work Colsond3. I hope one day to see your Halloween pin in person. As a big fan of the movie series, I know my wife would love it too!

A good amount. Luckily I've known him since high school. He said he might make himself available to do some other work if other pinballers are interested after we're done with this.

Thanks for that. Have you seen my Bally Safari thread?

Those sketches are pretty damn cool. Steam near metal parts would be tricky. You'd have to isolate the steam mech somehow with some type of encasement. Smoke would be better. That looks awesome though...get out in your garage and start building it. We'll help you with the artwork.

Yes, your Safari is outstanding!
The dream is still there...time is the issue since I can never win the Powerball or MegaMillions.
Yeah, a small smoke machine with some ducting to the ports relative to gameplay controlled with something simple like a Rasperberry might just do the trick.
One day...
Out of the cab and onto the rotisserie. Not the exciting part, but have to get everything in order there first:
- refasten all the switches, targets and rollovers
- clean inserts and surfaces
- check over wiring and reflow connections
- rebuild the drops and flips
- spray and decal the drop targets
- clean and polish metal / mechs
- do underside bulbs
Going mostly with Comet 2 SMD cool white bulbs on the inserts, and some color matching.

Sorry George. I’m trying dude.
I’ve had some other things get in the way, but I’m back to vigorously attacking this game. In DC today, but I’ll be getting back to it and posting pictures of the upper PF tomorrow!!
Done in mostly black and white, as I originally planned. As mentioned in earlier posts, kick outs push the mini ball bagatelle to collect the mask, knife, jumpsuit and station wagon. Each item collected spells out K-I-L-L to start multiball.

I’m getting tempted to powder some of this stuff…if the shop could do it quick.

King of the powder coat! Glad to see your getting some time to get back into this again. Looking great.
