    Quoted from Keetur:

OK so newbie here who has done some basic soldering. I can do basic soldering with my current low watt iron. Connect wires to terminals, and have put some kits together to practice board repair but have done exactly "0" actual repairs.
I was looking for a soldering gun to start doing bigger jobs like pop bumper connections. Big globs of solder connecting the ribbon cables.....
Can I use this for that application, and also for board repair? A gun seems so hard to maneuver in tight spaces......
