I got one of these and it is definitely an improvement over the 808. Just having the mini stand is big. The 808 always wanted to move around when i would lay it down. It's lighter and the vacuum seems stronger too.

I've had the FR300 for over a year and it has been a lot better than my old 808. It seems to have a lot more suction and does not clog up the way the 808 did. It is also easier to use because of the simple stand that lets you lay it down without the cord pulling it to places you don't want it to go.
