Quoted from HighProtein:

What ballys from 1981 should be remade?
February 1981 - Flash Gordon
April 1981 - Eight Ball Deluxe
June 1981 - Embryon
June 1981 - Fireball II
August 1981 - Fathom
September 1981 - Medusa
October 1981 - Centaur
December 1981 - Elektra

Out of that list, I enjoy playing Fireball II the most. More than Fathom, Medusa and Embryon (the ones I own, in order of my ranking)

The more the price drops on the original Fathom, the fewer you’re going to see for sale. The current prices are tempting for me as a seller. But I talked to my wife about it and she said: “If you sell it, will you regret it?” (Me: Yes) “So don’t sell it”.

SantaEatsCheese if you lived near me I’d temp trade with you for 3-6 months. Fathom has been great for that.

Quoted from Khabbi:

Fathom is just THAT GOOD and my machine is ultra dialed in. I haven't found another Fathom that plays as good as mine so letting it go would be very hard.

Exactly. I had a CPR playfield at one point, but I swapped it for a nice Abra Ca Dabra. A few years later I had the opportunity to play the game that playfield ended up in, and it just didn’t feel right. I’m probably biased, but I’m happy with my lightly worn original playfield. And how are they going to reproduce that early Bally flipper feel? It’s definitely something unique.

[EDIT: the answer was in the interview:

“Underneath the playfield we have designed and manufactured recreations of the original mechs, along with adding in some new components from our existing catalogue”]

What was the last reproduction of an older pin? King of Diamonds? I really like where this is heading, if it means I’ll get to own a Quicksilver or StarGazer some day.

I’d be in at the Mermaid pricing if there was a “Lighthouse Edition”. I love that crazy movie.
