#181 as #69 was gone
same same but different

#44 1 year ago

I am hoping to see sited Fathom classics in the near future at most pinball venues.
Who would have thought a 40+ year old designed machine would be in this era of wanktech.
I wonder if many operators are on this?
Full circle and love it.

Fake news
looks very shiny and boy does it stand out

#158 1 year ago

If you play in STANDARD mode, does the lighting change to suit the era?
If so, that’s is or would be waaaaaaaaay cool.

#170 1 year ago

Freight globally is a piss take now.
Now Yanks know how it hurts with freight of pins to the rest of the world

I hope a Celts one is not too far away.

#200 1 year ago

How good is EBD or Centaur gonna be

#201 1 year ago

Got the email requesting final payment today!
Woohoo I’m on the home straight, 12 weeks to go, give or take.

Quoted from paulbaptiste:

Mine is definitely missing that! Thanks. Another thing to get with Damien about. This has been far from a trouble free experience so far.

What else have you been having issues with?

#233 1 year ago

Or
Incorrect angle set up, what is recommended? 4.5 or 6.5?

#454 1 year ago

From Zach we see?
Wonder why he flogged it off so quick and didn't do a review? could have been real fun.
Enjoy and post some feedback.

I don't have an issue as Mermaids are still special and unique.
Im glad demand made then rethink so more people can enjoy their product.
Just think of it as a Stern Premium.

#571 11 months ago

I also wonder what the total cost is for these “ upgrades?”
It only states the deposit price!
Radio silence was a shame , but people get nasty when things don’t go their way( some warranted)
Mermaids were and are uniquely special.
If it were my business and demand was alive for a code upgrade, no brainer.
Is it negative because us lucky few have money in it ? Are we scared of not turning a profit or in fact a loss? Pinball is for fun first.
All this hate is definitely first world problems
Go Haggis

#630 11 months ago

Every marketable product from memory , especially the luxury items, the manufacturer has always retained the right to change the goal posts to suit consumers and their business model .

Different models, makes, special and limited editions, bonuses, free upgrades etc. etc. have always been and will continue.
Look how much " retro and remakes " are being reproduced today. HEAPS.

Things change and you move with the times or you become stagnant and die.

Would you be upset if it was for a charity edition?

#724 11 months ago

Looks like the original to me?

#726 11 months ago

I’m a nice boy, just a bit thick

#730 11 months ago
Quoted from Boof-Ed:

Very quiet in here.
[quoted image]

Has yours sold yet?

#732 11 months ago

Or maybe it’s the seller ( I jest )

Listen to what I am saying and not what you think I am saying.

Aaaahhhhh pinball, where grown men play childish games

#822 9 months ago

i broke a flipper on Celts and yes you have to tighten more than you think. or change
to Precision Flippers, they're awesome

#830 8 months ago

Unboxing went real well last night. Too easy to unpack and set up, maybe 15minutes.
My number is 181 as 69 was taken ( if you know what i mean )
This big boys toy far exceeded my expectation and the 15 others who joined in the fun, I thought CELTS was great. Pfft.
Big cheers to Gary for the pulled pork rolls and Joe from Kids Just Wanna Have Fun Amusements for the venue.
I won't mention all the great things as there is just too many mention, so i will touch on the not so good.

1.It did have two freezes over the 7 or so hours it was played, a simple turn of then on fixed until I mention to Haggis.
2.The flipper bats suck, I will do what I did with other machines and change to Precision Flippers. The mechanism is fine.
3.The chrome front door is a little disappointing but still looks fantastic and i can see why the made this way.
4.I need to buy an expensive frame for the beautiful individually numbered poster explaining the theme.
5.I HAVE TO FIND MORE MONEY TO GET CENTAUR REVISITED.

one special note is that i didn't realise it has the genuine Bally sticker under playfield, nice nod to the manufacturer.

FANTASTIC job Haggis, proud to be made in Australia. Thankyou

Quoted from Mark000:

I have not received mine yet but wow what a beautiful piece of playable Art. Haggis said they wanted to build the best quality games in the world and its looking that way. I hope EBD is next after Centaur will definitely buy it. Go Haggis

they are definitely going forward and producing playable art

#846 8 months ago
Quoted from gold1:

Seriously all this positivity about Haggis rubs against the grain..................

Don’t worry I have concerns and think some of their stuff is naff, but it really is picking for
The sake of picking.

#918 6 months ago

flippers are Bally-precision flippers do a nice set, dt im not sure?
apparently a manual is in the works for all their games so far

#933 6 months ago

The blokes that are have getting info troubles, did you buy direct or
Through a distributor?
Maybe ask your distro?

#936 6 months ago
Quoted from paulbaptiste:

Why do you come here to defend? Not too long ago you were trying to unload anything you owned or preordered that had the Haggis name attached to it. I don't think you have anymore say in this thread than anyone else. You are just more blinded by some strange brand of tribal loyalty than most.
The truth is, NO, they don't communicate well if at all. The truth is, if they know (like you admit we all do by now) that it won't be available to paying buyers in 8 weeks after paying in full, THEN QUIT LYING TO PEOPLE!! This isn't optimism. This is simply being dishonest. Who are you bullshitting. I own a Fathom Mermaid. I've owned it for 10 months. My game hasn't worked for 10 months. I'm still waiting to be made right by Haggis and I have no option but to wait. Save that sanctimonious shit for someone else. It's beyond old by now. People, especially people who have paid for product in some cases YEARS ago, are entitled to be a little angry and worried about their purchase. You don't get to stand above us all and cast judgment.

Can I asked what's happening as it is FAST pinball set up and surely a guru or tech can assist.
As a community, im sure we can help somewhat.

if it aint broke its not pinball.

#958 6 months ago

#975 6 months ago

looks bent to me, you should have to pul back plunger slightly to lift/lower playfield.
i hope that info helps, if not just type another post and i will do some measurements and photos for you
good luck

No they aren't, busy building games.

#999 5 months ago

I seldom have troubles apart from,
1.doesn't like 4 player games as it won't let you start a new game once finished.( Haggis noted )
2.airball from centre drops getting caught on top of left plastic.(Haggis noted) I will make a plastic that covers top of targets.

can anyone else advise of their issues please?

#1001 5 months ago

I’m gonna do it yourself way with just a bit of acrylic for the mean while.
I have not heard back from Damo, but, might call him Friday at beer o’clock and shoot the shit about a certified fix?

1 month later
#1035 4 months ago
Quoted from cloggedDrain:

What did you adjust? I just got mine and the bottom right flipper is sticking

check cabinet flipper switch first as i found a few were too close or closed.

sticking up may need to adjust the height off playfield
if unsure keep asking

#1040 3 months ago

Just let Haggis know and hopefully fix in future updates.
I actually play revisited code and only found bug on 4 player game , when finished it won’t re start a new game.
1-3 no problem

Funny you should mention stuck switches. I was playing and noticed right sling machine gunning and fixed appropriately. Touch wood since then, no freezes
