Quoted from CafeOne:

.now our main concern is the spinning record keeps falling apart. Any one else experiencing this or have solutions?

Put screw back in with blue Locktite. Be sure you have the washer too before inserting the screw.

Won't effect most games. Not a major issue.

Quoted from BeeGee6533:

- Pretty sure the preamp for my headphone 3.5mm jack is blown. No volume and distorted. I'll get it fixed eventually. I don't use the headphones too often.

If it's anything like previous games ( I don't have a GNR to check ) see if the connector to the small board right inside the cabinet where the headphone would plug in. It might be on backwards. If it fits, unplug it and turn 180 degrees and plug back in and try. Be sure connector in the backbox is on the board tight.

Is the washer the bronze piece?

You can see the parts in this picture.

Call #LTG he is a computer mastermind!!

I wouldn't say that.

Only thing I've seen so far is getting password right. Numbers, lower case letters, capitals. Then reboot router.

1) Ball gets stuck on top right pop bumper

Adjust the pop bumper leaf blade switch more sensitive so it kicks the ball.

Quoted from Maiden:

2) Metal gate to left ramp pops out

Put a tiny cable tie on the end so it can't slide that far.

LTG : )

#61 3 years ago
Quoted from Maiden:

I am not following where to put the cable tie for #2.

On the end outside the frame so it can't slip through the hole.

My skill shot isn’t working. Any ideas?

Recalibrate the sensors. Or turn the game off. Wait a bit. Turn the game back on. It should calibrate them at start up.

If you have a phone or computer, see if you have WiFi to begin with. Then check WiFi dongle to be sure it is still plugged in, and it's cable is still plugged into the motherboard.

Got my LE set up today and now the game automatically auto plunges after each ball. Solutions?

Shooter lane switch stuck down, or dragging in the sides of the slot it goes up and down in ?

Correct number of balls in the game ? Not one too many ?

Would someone provide some guidance on how to adjust the height of the record?

Under the playfield loosen the big plastic nut, turn the record higher, tighten the big plastic nut.

Pretty simple if you look at it.

1). Is the shooter Rod supposed to seem very weak so that it can barely get to the top?

You don't want to get to the top. You want to land on the sensors for different things. The farther you go the less you get.

Right inlane rollover - Slow ball will sometimes sit on top of the rollover.

Bend it down a tiny bit so it still works but doesn't trap the ball.

Song Scoop - first day, it fired to the far left of the left flipper. Now it launches the ball to the tip of the left flipper.

Tests - Switches - Matrixed - look at the screen to see which one needs to be adjusted less sensitive.

Probably the one behind the rubber ring. Up the playfield to the left of the spinning disc area.

Concensus seems to be to check the coil sleeves, so I will do that later today when I have to take them off

Quoted from RetroGamer74:

I just picked up a GNR LE yesterday. Its my first JJ pin so a couple of noob questions.

1) Are you supposed to leave the felt cabinet protectors on when installing the legs or are those thrown out?

2) I found a hex fitting lodged inside the VIP Entrance. It obviously didn't belong there but I couldn't find anywhere on the table or cabinet where it was missing from. Any ideas?

1 ) Yes

2) Looks like inside cabinet secures a head bolt the metal plate pivots on.

LTG : )

One additional question…should these two posts be bare metal or have clear rubber on them?

Bare metal. Came that way from the factory.

All of my left lanes (both in and one out) as well as my left sling just stopped working but the left flipper is ok. Switch test doesn’t respond. Some transistor or not plugged in correctly? Thanks for the help.

Flipper is 70 volt, slingshot is 20 volt. Different circuits.

Go into the backbox - check the LEDs next to each fuse - is one out ? If so you have blown a fuse. F703 and F711 in particular

Hi Guys , looking for help on an issue that has just started on my Guns & Roses LE . The right upper flipper , right lower flipper and centre VUK has stopped working .
Really Appreciated Kurtis .

On the I/O board in the backbox, long skinny one with all the fuses and bridge rectifiers. First check fuse F701. F704, F705, F706 feed off of F701, which is likely blown.

Page 219 in the manual has the fuse stream. F701 is a 10 amp slow blow 20mm fuse. Fuse list is on page 218.

Quoted from Coryell24:

I have the LE and this is my first pin so I am a newbie. I have an error that says shooter lane 6 stuck open. I am not sure where this is or what it is. Can anyone help?

I'm not supposed to help but what the heck.

Tests - Switches - Matrixed. Use a ball, roll over the shooter lane switch, then the sensors in the playfield going up the shooter lane, or the target at the end of the shooter lane. One hasn't been hit recently and triggering #6 should clear the error.

LTG : )

#501 4 months ago
Quoted from HectorCM:

my cables dont match the ones in the video

You could always search Youtube for how to jump start an ATX power supply. Thing is you can't do it with the connector off, you have to carefully do it on the wire side.

Do this at your own risk.

#502 4 months ago

Figure out the model number of your Asrock motherboard, search on line where to plug the start button to. Briefly short those two pins.

LTG : )

#504 4 months ago
Quoted from HectorCM:

I wish JJP just did a video for every of their games, explaining exactly how to do this. We shouldnt have to be researching just to get the game to power up. It is not user friendly at all.

Back in the good old days that would have been possible. Butch made some. I made some. Now look for us at CGC.
