Slightly bend the wire switch arm lower and center it. Also make sure your game is properly leveled side to side And pitched correctly. Simply fix.

Oh and skill shot just stopped working JUNK JUNK JUNK

Keys on door for BB. And what’s wrong with skill shot. Looks like you had a few minor issues though “Shit” is not what I would call these minor things personally. Temporarily any pc plug will work to play the game till they get a replacement.

Now this is broken too
[quoted image]

Not sure what the error is on that picture but to guess if the ball isn’t releasing you need to calibrate the sensors via software.

No keys on door yes any pc plug will work do you speed 9500 to supply your own cord

No you shouldn’t have to but it’s a simple mistake. Just wanted to help you Try to enjoy your game.

Quoted from reflex33:

I had a question about how the playfield is supposed to rest in the steel channel. I've attached a few pictures here.
My first question is, which rubber feet am I supposed to be using to rest the playfield? There are three sets... two with metal around it, and one without.
But regardless of which one I am supposed to be using, the rubber feet don't rest on the flat part of the steel channel. This is because the notches in the channel don't line up with the metal bars that you pull. Are the notches supposed to line up? Right now, no matter how I place the playfield down, it's metal on metal.
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

It doesn't matter. Use the pair that fits your service need at the time. They are primarily there to keep the playfield from sliding back into the cabinet.

Anyone have any insights on connecting to Wifi? I logged a ticket with JJP, very responsive but still unresolved. Ken in support was great to work with. It sees my network, USB dongle was plugged into appropriate spot. Can't connect and password is correct. Agreed to the terms etc. Have tried about 30 times to connect but it won't. Signal strength not an issue either. Not a huge deal as I can always update via USB but just wondering if something is disconnected somewhere? Network tries to connect and then disconnects. Reseated dongle as well.

We had a very similar issue with ours (early release). May not be the same but they had us reset our router 1-2 times then oddly it just started working. Not sure if the Ghtz speed matters.

Call #LTG he is a computer mastermind!! lol

Quoted from LTG:

I wouldn't say that.
Only thing I've seen so far is getting password right. Numbers, lower case letters, capitals. Then reboot router.

You have a New job title. JJP, IT support networks specialist! I am working on your shirt now! lol

Or JJP IT Support Specialist. JISS Networker for short lolol.

We probably haven't done a good job of communicating this properly, but ethernet cables will work fine (and be much simpler to setup) if you have the means. You'll probably need to loosen/take off a grate somewhere to feed the cable in, so from this perspective it's a bigger PITA.
At work, we run games connected both ways all the time.
(Sorry for the contradiction ltg.)

Keith made you his Bitch #LTG ! lol JK. WiFi is Awesome. So hope this carries to Every JJP. A seamless solution.

Wondering about some ideas to resolve this, I see it has been asked here once.
Ball gets stuck here it seems every 3rd game or so. Original level at 0 now it is 1/8 I believe. I also tried moving the rubber up a tad. Have not tried lower.
[quoted image]

Not saying this is the perfect fix but I simply removed the rubber from that little post and haven't had an issue since. If the ball now rolls close to the pop (closer now that the rubber is gone) it fires it out and with the rubber gone it simply rolls off the post back to the lane. Didn't want to tinker with the pop skirt anymore or deal with the stuck balls. Worked for me.

Got my LE today. Game reboots in middle of game. Any thoughts?

Just a simple suggestion but Double check the power cord to the back of the game as a start. Especially if you installed that metal plate. Oddly many have had that simple issue cause a reset. Make sure its Fully seated and try a few games.

Any way to adjust the VUK? Was going to my left flipper now right down the middle.

Increase coil power. As the game wears in things loosen up. Just go 1 increment at a time till you like it.

Quoted from Skyemont:

I think I saw someone that switched springs on the outside plunger rod. Made it shorter. Did that help?

The shorter plunger spring will give an additional 1/8” ish of throw. As others don’t have the same issue I would personally focus on centering and adjusting via the 3 screws on the back plate. Hard to believe one would be good and some not.

Hello,
With my bar closed, GnR SE is out on rental now and it’s my second service call tomorrow with the spinning disc. The ball was getting stuck on the post on the disc, so I adjusted the height to be flush with the playfield.
It seemed to be better but I couldn’t figure out how to stabilize the side to side wobble. The client just let me know that balls are still getting stuck (it’s been a few weeks since my last service call). This is an early production machine from the first run of standards.
How can I fix this for good?
Thanks in advance! [quoted image]

There really shouldn't be much wobble in the record. (or the music will skip. Jk) Start by tightening the #15 screw from the underside (while holding the record from spinning). IF it continues to spin that would likely mean the #16 top side screw came loose which would cause a wobble. In that case you would need to sacrifice the decal on the record to tighten the screw and get a replacement from JJP. If all tightens up on the above, then you need to loosen the #8 large nut (by hand) and adjust the #1 threaded sleeve (by hand) to set the spinner height just a Hair above the playfield. Not much!! Once set retighten the #8 jamb nut and you should be good to go. Just note when adjusting the height of the record that you need to push down on it as it is a floating mech. If you set it in the up position it will sink below the playfield. Good Luck!

Note: When adjusting, make sure the #22 bushings are in place as they guide the wobble from happening.

Quoted from reflex33:

Follow up to my post about rattling...
I found two sources of rattling for anyone else that gets this.
1. The tilt sensor bob was rattling against the hanger. I fixed this with a rubber washer jammed against the top to stop it from doing that.
2. The side rails are held on with some adhesive. On my machine, the adhesive is giving away. So when the game action ramps up, the rails are quickly making contact and then braking the contact with that adhesive, leading to a loud buzzing. No idea what to do about this yet. I have contacted jersey jack, but haven't heard back from them.

Ok do need some clarification on #1 When you roust the machine the tilt bob was rattling in the ring so you jammed some rubber in there? I'm going to assume I am reading this wrong lol.

Quoted from movingpictures:

Just circling back here in case anyone has the same problem.
Thanks a lot for the advice.
In my case it was the #16 top side screw.
I had to pierce the decal to tighten it and then re-adjust the height of the disc since the disc was now sitting higher that it should with everything tight.
Hopefully it doesn't work its way loose again. If it does, I guess you have to use the 425 loctite?
I ordered some for the bottom screw but it had it applied from the factory and it makes it impossible to remove the screw from the shaft. I guess I'm worried if I put it on the top screw I won't ever be able to remove it.

I can’t think of any technical reason you would ever Want that upper screw to be loosened or removed so likely any solution to keep it permanently locked would work. Honestly a small dot of super glue on the thread on assembly would work in a pinch. Again, your never going to remove it after covering it with a new decal. Glad you got it fixed.

I read somewhere a solution for this but can’t seem to find it. What is a solution to stop having the ball get lodged between the switch like this? [quoted image]

Center and readjust the switch.

Right ramp diverter is loose and stays down. Not sure how to adjust this thing. The magnet coil works but the diverter is completely loose and has these small tracks. Anyone know how this should be set.

Could be wrong but from your picture looks like the return spring is missing?

Quoted from Narizo:

Just got my GNR LE and two recurring issues - curious if anyone has seen this or has recommendations how to address:
1) skills shot gets stuck on the flip gate. Sometimes when I'm shooting and sometimes the auto kick. Gate goes up and comes down getting the ball stuck. Sometimes ball find will rattle loose, most of the time have to take glass half off and free the ball.
2) upper right play field metal guide did not come with screws or screwed down. This is the curved guide by the bumpers right under the drum sticks. The two holes for screws are there, but looks like they just missed the screws all together. It came loose after about 5 games. Checked under cab and ball trough to see if they fell out but looks like they were never there.[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

Item 1 covered multiple times in the owners thread. Simply add a pair of washers under the gate mount and it won’t get stuck again. Item 2, get some screws?

Quoted from Staythirsty:

I unboxed my game yesterday and thought I saw some sparks when the magnet grabbed the ball. Then i noticed a burn mark on the back ball guide.
Does anyone know what could have caused this or what I could look at to make sure everything is okay?
[quoted image]

Think several have reported the magnet fuse (under coil wrapper) gets toasted and this can happen. I would contact JJP tech support.

#202 2 years ago
Quoted from Staythirsty:

Thanks for the info. I knew there were magnet fuse problems but never expected to see sparks above the playfield

My guess is that the magnet no longer functions with the fuse blown. For now I would personally contact JJP for a replacement and leave it alone and keep playing. Won’t do much but you can at least keep playing while the part goes out. I suspect they will just ship a new wired coil so no need to mess with it now.

Always appreciate the help from everyone here. I just got my new GNR LE and have a couple of new owner questions.
1). Is the shooter Rod supposed to seem very weak so that it can barely get to the top?
2). Does anyone else have any issues of the ball rolling back down the shooter lane after a full pull / shot. Mine seems to not divert back out to the play field always.
3). Has anyone ever seen a shooter lane with a full wood knot in it (picture below). I installed a shooter lane protector before playing any balls, but anything to worry about here?
4). Ball eject seems to shoot out and sometimes bounce back in and other times it seems like it is not strong enough to shoot out into shooter lane. Any tips?
Thanks for the help!!![quoted image][quoted image]

1 Yes, it's a soft skill shot to Not hit all the way through travel unlike most games.
2 Yes, been covered a few times but you need to add 2 washers under the shooter lane flap mount and it won't do it again. (See owners thread for many pics)
3 Yes, Its a wood product. All are different and to most it gives it character. As long as its smooth its good.
4 Assuming you mean auto eject you can dial that power up a bit in the settings menu.

What incline do you have the pin set at? Could it be it is too shallow?

That’s my bet.

Quoted from parsonsaj:

Yep that’s what JJP said too… but I bit the bullet and punctured the sticker and that screw is completely tight.

Suggestion. Start by verifying if the record is tightened properly. From the top side put a finger at the 12 oclock position and the 6 oclock position and lightly press one side at a time to see if it rocks. Do the same at 3 and 9 after. If it rocks likely a loose stem screw, jamb nut is not locked below. Start by holding record from top and making sure the #15 screw is Tight. If its fairly solid its possible something is off in the assembly. I would first verify that the #22 top and bottom sleeve bearings are in place and that the screws holding the #7 bushing are tight. If All looks good its possible the mount bracket #2 is slightly off but thats a long shot. As a last resort a few cut up business card shims below the mount bracket leg to playfield would work. Good luck.
