I switched from the LCD to LED version, so I wouldn't have to lower the speaker panel every-time I wanted to get into the backbox. LED looks awesome in it too.
I have done my Mods for GNR
Had the G ramp wire form powdercoated yellow, the R ramp wire form in red.
Then the main ramp and VUK in gun metal grey - funny enough the ball flies up there now, may solve the problem of not being property aligned
Changed the pop bumper caps to green to off set the extra yellow and red.
Stripped the mylar off the playfield and polished
Now need to find the extended plastic set with the "welcome to the jungle" plastic back behind the rear ramp.
Have any of you guys lit the Pinbits back panel with a cold cathode tube? I tried and failed. The parts that need to be lit are 18" from the one rose to the other. I ordered a kit that has 2 12" lights and it's not enough. Those lights only cast out light directly in front of or behind the bulb, the light doesn't travel. The longest cold cathode tube I can find is 15"

I used an led light strip. Worked great

That's what I ended up using, it's ok. You can see the individual leds on the strip behind the roses and it doesn't light evenly. I placed the strip in the center, but if I had it to do again I would place the strip a little below center since you don't really don't see much of the top of it anyway, but none the less it looks way better than the factory plain piece of black plastic

Has anyone taken their Rev 1 black shooter ramp and stripped the paint off it to make it a Rev 2 ramp? What did you use to seal or clear coat it? Is there a thinner layer or low friction paint
Are there any other differences between the ramps?
Just had an issue occurred last night with my DK power tap and 1 of the 2, 2amp fuses blowing. I've had the same mods installed on my Guns N Roses for over 2 years and it suddenly it caused the fuse to blow on the power tap. I have at least isolated which mod apparently is causing it to blow (my undercabinet LED strip lighting). My question is can I increase the fuse ratings to accomodate a higher amperage?

Ok... while I don’t know if you would exactly call this a true “mod” I think it’s pretty damn cool. I found some “props” inspired by pic of Keith Richards plus added some extra McFarlane amps and guitars i picked up here and there.

No, the 2 amps behind the G ramp come with the McFarlane Toys Slash figure but usually you get only one unless you buy the "deluxe" version. Mine came with 1, I picked the second one up loose. The one behind him with the booze and cigarettes is another McFarlane piece I also found loose so i don't know for sure which one it originated from but it fit nicely there IMO. The double neck guitar actually came from a Jimmy page figure. Slash plays the same model in concerts but it's black ..oh well! I thought it made a good prop and dresses up the light post.

Thanks- They are simply “doll house” parts via the Internet - I got the whiskey and smokes from different sellers in China but the Budweiser’s were from a domestic seller and cost almost as much as real beer! - lots of options out there - domestic sellers seem to have minimum orders but quicker turn around .
China parts were cheaper but took a few weeks to receive.
