I like it. Getting the SEs to a reasonable entry level.

Quoted from Yoko2una:Funny how JJP touted fully featured games, and now they have a "gimped Pro" that was their biggest knock against Stern. Seems like they are figuring out what business model works the best, whether good or bad.
They listened to feedback from chumps like me who have no intention of ever spending 9500 for a game. So, they got a lot of "new to JJP" customers with their Wonka pricing model. This will probably get even more new customers in. Smart move.
Quoted from Psw757:Didn’t Stern get absolutely roasted for having a pay extra for more code features through topper or some other accessory?
I guess “this is the way”.
Sure, but they also sold everyone of those things and didn't lose any customers. With JJP including the special topper with a certain model, its a tiny bit different, but a lot more expensive than the $600 topper/mode Stern was selling. You gotta pay 3K to get the mode for JJP.
Quoted from rai:Do JJPs sell at full price or is it like Stern suggested price but a bit less.
Only discount I've ever seen for JJP was a show special. Same price via JJP direct or distro. Straight MSRP.
If it's true that people already have games, I hope someone has a SE, so we can see the differences on streams.
This is on the JJP SE page:
Guns N' Roses™ Standard Edition
STANDARD EDITION FEATURES:
Monsterized Roadsters Cabinet Art Package
Black Textured Powder Coat
Blood Red Plastic Set
Hand-Drawn Monsterized Band SE Backglass
***Gibson Headstock Upper Playfield with 6 Ball Lock***
200+ Individually Controlled RGB LEDs
Full Band On Stage Illuminable Toy
3 Flippers
Bright White LED Controllable Hotrail Lighting
Laser-etched Glowing Fender Bass Ramp Decoration
Typo? Webpage designer goof?
Quoted from Fezmid:Nope -- but you're missing this playfield:
Triple-Kinetic Diverter Fender Bass Head Mini Playfield
I just read that on the LE. But hey, still the SE gets one of 2 upper PFs. Game looks cool. Love that monster art, too.
Quoted from Psw757:If this is the SE where is the Gibson headstock up PF listed in the features?
My thoughts, exactly.
Even the distrib emails I'm getting say there's a Gibson upper PF on the SE. Thinking there will be a recall.
Quoted from heyitsjoebob:Jersey Jack over here putting on a clinic on how to reveal a game. YouTube teaser video, features & pricing online right after, a professionally pre-produced deep dive with interviews, followed up with a livestream tonight by the Buffalo guys.
Nicely job
Can't wait to shoot this game
Gameplay reveal ad shows 10/7. Wish it was tonight.
Quoted from thechakapakuni:Did anybody get the clue this game has a camera to include you on the stage? I don’t see this anywhere mentioned in the specs
Keefer hinted at it in the SDTM video. Says something like, "maybe you end up in the game."
Quoted from rvdv:hoping for some "live" versions later on
ACDC was a let down with No concert songs
There's a really long live version of "let there be rock". You just have to have an amazing game to hear it. Or use the jukebox mode.
Quoted from stuckey_t:No the moving stage spotlights only seem to come with the Limited edition or Collectors edition.
Can't really tell, as there is no front facing view of the SE, but it looks like at least one is attached to the upper PF, so likely not. What about the jumbotron in the back? Will that be there on the SE? And the JJP website still is showing the SE as having the Gibson PF ball lock as a feature. Need to get that fixed. I was pretty excited when I read that a few hours ago.
Quoted from SimonBaird:3. The inclusion of Bluetooth head phone support, no doubt stern would of kept this as a premium feature.
I don't think the standard gets bluetooth. At least it isn't a listed feature on their website.
Quoted from SimonBaird:Standard gets Bluetooth and wifi connect listed under headliner act in comparison document I.e features in all models.
The Le/ce get additional head phone input jack with volume control at the front of the machine. Small point but still not convinced stern or others would have blue tooth audio in their base model.
That's great news. I can't find that document on their site. Not the most intuitive website though.
Quoted from delt31:how is the ball "locked" on the LE? In CE I believe it goes into a lock on the left side of the apron right? Where does it go on the LE? Maybe it drains and shoots out another ball for you to play and you get mb if you succeed?
Virtually, I imagine
Quoted from nwpinball:Given that they had access to all the assets of the band does anyone else wonder why they didn't pick video footage of the band in their prime over the band now? I personally connect more with 80s Guns 'n' Roses and didn't realize they'd gotten back together as old guys and were still around touring and doing new songs.
Older footage would include people no longer in the band? That would be my guess.
Quoted from cooked71:Thats why we have rai here.
LOL. I get where he's coming from. SE is a huge chunk o change saved and l bet that upper pf isn't really missed. Where they get us is those sweet RGB hot rails. Sneaky mofos over there at JJP. They some smart cookies.
