Quoted from Jvspin:

Yeah, makes sense but I'm not a big fan of that mech as it was on the Tesseract and TOTAN, tends to slow gameplay down and block shots in a not so fun way to me. Maybe the single post is better. Might have been more interesting if they added a motor to it.

I was thinking the same thing and actually thought the disc was powered when I first watched the videos. That would have been cool if it could at least bat the ball around a bit, or intentionally stop in a position to make a shot more difficult.

Quoted from jq-pinner77:

congrats to the guys that bought multiple units to get that top dollar plus 5k ,no pinball is worth what they will be asking for these CE games

Apparently JJP is requesting CE buyer names from all distros to prevent anyone from purchasing more than one CE.

Personally, I would yank my deposit and wait until they can be bought and shipped, tomorrow.

I was told the deposit was non-refundable.

Quoted from branlon8:

The clearcoats are way too thick. I‘ll bet if you compare the clearcoat layer thicknesses with the recommendations of the clearcoat manufacturers, this will become apparent. Paint layers which are too thick become unstable, they crack, etc. The clearcoat can pull the color off with it - just depends if the adhesion is better with the clear or the layers below. Automakers check this among other things with the „stone chip“ test. So why thick clearcoats? - because they‘re pretty. They look like glass. Let‘s face it - we pinheads have very high expectations when it comes to our games being pretty - whether it‘s playfields, cabinets, backboxes, etc.
One could apply the clear in multiple layers - maybe even polish/buff in between - but that‘s very expensive.

Charlie Emery over at Spooky confirmed this in a recent podcast - clearcoats are applied thicker to make the pf more shiny. He also mentioned that he does not think changes to EPA regulations over the years are the cause for all the recent issues. He didn't give a definitive answer on why there are pf issues these days other than to say that there were many factors involved.

Quoted from mbrave77:

I finally got to play the game today(LE) at silverball museum in NJ.

I was in Asbury this past weekend with friends, but we had other plans so I never got out to Silverball to give GnR a try, I was bummed.
