Once I get tired of mutiballs I think I'll sell my CE for WAY MORE than I paid for it lol....

Quoted from Phbooms:Looking over the game the Gibson head will need some kind of protector to not smash that nice front edge with air balls, similar to WOZ spinning house playfield edge did.
Why not wrap it in saran wrap (The one without the printing on it). Then you can peel and pull and adjust as needed.
Quoted from Phbooms:i wasnt referring to the actual flat playfield, i was talking about this edge.

You're actually correct. It's the same wear as any other edge the ball is rolling over. Maybe someone can figure out a solution.
Cliff - are you looking in on this discussion?
Imagine trying to sneak in one of those VCR recorders from back in the day. They weighed about 10 pounds and were the size of a small suitcase.
Quoted from bgwilly31:Also to comment on the CE's losing value in the next year. For crying out loud most of you cant even get the list of differences correct.
Also some of you keep mentioning another special edition ala YBR WOZ. or BA Hobbit. If you pay attention to the two titles i just mentioned. JJP as a company has changed quite a bit since woz and hobbit. And those are the last games they ever did Extra editions for. No Different DI, POTC, or Wonkas. I believe JJP Realizes and listened to the feedback from their CE customers that it wasnt cool releasing CE Type different versions of the game a year or two after the initial release. And they are more focused on moving on to the next game. For people counting on some special slash edition coming a year from now. I wouldnt hold your breath.
The CE's will not lose value. I can easily see the CE's selling for 18-20k for the next 6-8 months. After that they may drop to 14-16k. And then hold strong at 12,500 after that. I think theres a chance they stay at around the 14k mark or higher.
As for the LEs i easily see them bringing north of 10k for the next 3-4 months. As JJp wont be able to produce enough to keep up with demand.
You guys HAVE to love the crystal ball speculation with monthly time frames. ONLY on Pinside, lol.
So - Who here has been bugging their distributor or JJP direclty, to advise on when the CE's will all be built and shipped?
Quoted from mbrave77:mine said they are waiting on info from JJP to give me real timeframe but they are confident its "this year" on my LE. Im fine with that as I need to move a game to make space anyways
I'm in no rush either.... But I don't have the typical American attitude. I understand about waiting.
Have you guys ever noticed that things in life are generally what you believe they are going to be? I.E. - Good if you believe it will be good, and bad if you believe it will be bad? It's generally about attitude.
My mother always said : "Speculation is best left for Palm Readers and Prostitutes."
Quoted from PanzerFreak:I don't know, maybe in the short term CE's will rise in value but in the long term they will drop in my opinion. This isn't a Pirates CE situation where we had a super loaded wide body game that came with a far more interactive topper and only around 200 were made. There's 500 GNR CE's being made and that is simply too many in my opinion to result in the game going up in value when the initial price is already insanely high at $12,500. I wouldn't be surprised if within a year or two we see HUO CE's selling for $10k - $11k and HUO LE's for $8k - $9k.
AGAIN - "Speculation is best left to Palm Readers and Prostitutes".....
Quoted from flynnibus:and part of why we know answers aren't 100% transparent and forthcoming. JJP's party line on the subject has never been that forthcoming and I wouldn't expect you to break ranks. Jack and Eric's body language said way more than their strained answers did.
Well said. I have always believed this. They play dirty pool for sure....
Quoted from Skyemont:My friend got his SE yesterday.

Are those Factory post black discs sitting at the playfield surface to hide the imperfections?
Quoted from zr11990:From what I got from JJP there is no plan for a new PF or changes. Roll the dice and if your shit falls apart they will deal with it on a case by case basis. I guess maybe you might get another shot Pf sent to you or you can buy one. Nothing will ever change with these people.
You're correct with that. No point bitching about it. Just like politics, nothing changes. Someone is always on the short end of the stick.
Quoted from nicoy3k:people just want a sound bar because the CE has it. It's a total gimmick, sound bars don't even produce high quality audio.
Correct..... Trying to make a CE out of "not" a CE...
Quality is not there with a soundbar, agree.
Quoted from greenhornet:i have some suggestions for branding these playfields.
how about "suspect-rum" playfields,
or "we dont inspect-em" playfields,
or perhaps "wrecked-em" playfields.
i think we should just call them "rectum" playfields,
because anyone who gets one is surely taking it up the ass.
"We Don't Inspect-em" sounds great !
**He's right - They aren't SPECTRUM lol....
