To whom?
Thanks.
Quoted from mozach:I made a pinsound mix over the weekend with only live stuff - except for Coma. It makes for a good secondary mix. And with the headphone station, it's super easy to go back and forth. Here's a link if anyone wants to try it out.

And here's an admittedly terrible video of it, but you get the idea
I wonder why the file is so big 1.7GB, most of the orchestrations for GnR are between 170MB and 350MB? Thanks.
Hey guys , I’m a new owner . Was wondering what mods you recommend ? The one I picked up does already have upgraded speakers . I was wondering if there were any updates roms/software changes ? Or anything else that’s reasonable for a noob to do . Thanks

You most definitely need to get the pinsound board and a subwoofer
LEDs, maybe led ocd board

Like was said, pinsound for sure. Colordmd is also great.
Was hoping someone could point me in the right direction .
The sound randomly went out on my DE GNR the other day . It was sitting in attract mode and I heard the speakers making popping noises and when I went to play a game the sounds were there for about 30 seconds and then they would shut off . DMD and all other features work fine . Some times you can start a game with sound just fine and in the middle it will go out and you can hear the speakers popping .
The game has a rotten dog mpu and power supply In it currently . Not sure what could be causing this ?
Check the potentiometer. If that is dirty or worn out the sound will short out. You should also seriously consider upgrading to a Pinsound.
I recently designed new 3D flipper toppers for JJP's GnR, and just thought about offering them for the DE GnR pin. Price is $25 for the 3 topper set, so please PM me if interested in purchasing.

Has anybody gotten their guns n roses SE legs & lockdown bar powder coated ? Im looking into changing the boring black but not sure what color would look good. That purple in the CE is bad ass. But not sure how it’ll look with the side art. If anybody has re-coated theirs can you post pictures so i can see how they look. Thanks in advance.

I think Red would look great. Mine has a green which is ok. There are a few examples in the photo gallery.

Has anyone installed a Pinsound Headphone station on this machine? If so where did you run the wire? I’m thinking of drilling a hole in the base of the cabinet near the front leg so I am run the wire inside the cabinet

That is exactly how I did mine.

For all of my headphone stations, I have run the wire under neigh the cabinet and used the connectors they provide in the box. I guess when you eventually move the game and have to take off the legs, you would have to remove the wire in either case. I just take out a couple of the staples from the backbox screen and run the wire up to the Pinsound card.

Anyone have any tips for preventing airballs?
Quoted from thechakapakuni:Airballs where?
Off the top of the left G ramp on the way up. Ball regularly lands on the back left green whirlpool ramp
Quoted from allsportdvd:Looks okay to me but happy to have something pointed out

looks like the blue metal flap has a kink in it. Loosen the screws up a little bit to take the fold out of it!!
With freshly rebuilt flippers, the G ramp is a hoot; I've had a few airballs from time to time, but maybe 1 out of 75-100.
I'm surprised there wasn't a small deflector from the factory at the apex of the "G".
But yes, looks like there is a slight kink at the flap. Good luck!
Yeah check the tightness of the flap, if it’s too tight the ball will get air. I have zero jumps off that ramp. Also what is your pin set at? Maybe try lifting it a couple degrees

Don't think it has a kink (must be the pics) I'll still loosen it and see. Machine is at 7 degrees
PinballOrphanage was first, but I’ll take all the credit

Are they different than Freeplay40’s?
I have his installed, they look and function great if you’re looking for a stateside alternative

No idea. Didn't know FreePlay40 had them.
I'll bow out then. No need to stock something that is readily available.

As an option:
I was looking to swap mine for maybe one of these. I haven't confirmed they'll fit, however I believe I saw and read here on Pinside where a guy did use the wood one. I also think he had to do some trimming on it.

I need the actual gun as mine is cracked and glued poorly. But thanks for sending.
Quoted from thechakapakuni:Has anybody here done a custom gun? I’ve seen people talk about doing it for DE GNR & Indiana.
Several have, check the GNR mods thread. Ruger Blackhawk grips apparently fit with a little modification.
I went full custom for mine.

How interesting , not a bad idea I guess if you’re constantly having switch problems
Quoted from Chosen_S:How interesting , not a bad idea I guess if you’re constantly having switch problems
Not only that - but the pin plays faster as the ball doesn't have much to slow it down - especially with steep ramps - where the entire gate can be removed and replaced with an MRS...

Still having issues with the sound on GnR. When you power it on , we often have sound for a few minutes and then it will drop out . We noticed when we left it on for a longer time we would hear popping from the speaker cabinet . Before I got the game someone had upgraded both the speaker in the cab as well as the two in the head. Not sure what could be causing it at all ? Everything else works just fine

Is the potentiometer dirty? When you turn it left & right is there static or any change of sound?

Sorry , total noob . You’re talking about the one inside the coin door correct ?

Yeah. Try adjusting it while in play. I know will disable some things but curious if it has an effect when it drops out.
